The pandemic showed us something interesting. A world where online shopping is the norm, but… The aftermath has revealed some significant challenges. Especially with delivery services. Crazy fees and unsustainable business models are highlighting a critical crossroads for e-commerce and delivery startups, especially those trying to address the ‘last mile’ phenomenon. My recent experiences with seemingly simple orders breaking the bank is making me think about just how sustainable these services are long-term. Doesn’t seem like the delivery of a $10 burrito to your front door from the restaurant should end up costing you $30 after everyone gets their piece. This crossroads is going to force delivery and e-commerce businesses to innovate and find a balance that offers value to consumers without compromising on service quality. The future of online commerce depends on our ability to adapt and evolve in the response to these emerging challenges. What companies out there do you see that are handling these challenges well? --- 💎 Hi, I'm Jonathan, the CEO of Boom Labs. 💎 We're an outsourced solution for those sticky Growth Marketing problems that need an experienced resource. 💎 I write about accelerating the growth of your eCommerce business through testing, optimization, and a measured approach to incremental wins. 💎 Follow me for more!

What Is Klarna’s Secret to Explosive Growth? Network Effects. They turned into a shopping super app with two core strategies: 🔸 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹: Using a data flywheel to get more data and more users. With over 150M active consumers and 2M daily purchases, they have direct insights into exactly what people buy. Every transaction is more than just a purchase— it’s data. This data helps them improve their products and experience, attracting even more users in a virtuous cycle. 🔸 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹: Partnering and acquiring startups to expand their services. With over 500K retail partners across 45 countries, they expanded their ecosystem and tapped into more customers. The more retail partners and services they can integrate, the more valuable their platform becomes to consumers, driving further adoption. Their internal data strategy unlocks network effects around user value. Their external partnership strategy unlocks network effects around consumer reach and scope. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit some of our customers and had some interaction with them. You see, having a physical meeting with people that keeps you in business can not be overemphasized because there are a lot of learnings you will get from them that Google Forms won't fully capture. Marketers and businesses need to take a little break from Google Forms (I'm not saying it's not an important way of getting feedback, it is). Create time to visit their customers in person to understand what their needs are because you'll be shocked that there are a lot of things that a customer would reveal to you when you sit with them. These visits do not only give customers the assurance that you care for them. It also increases loyalty in the long run because of the time you've created for he and understand what their needs are, as well as how satisfied they are with your service. When you visit customers what are the key questions you always ask them? Kindly leave your comments in the comment section so we can all improve on what you ask to get quality feedback. #healthtech #Healthcare #startup #startupmarketing #marketing

Great morning at eCom Collab Club™ 🥞 London Amazing to hear from agencies, tech partners and brands! Key takeaways for 2024: - Email is going to be even more important without tracking cookies but we could face lower open rates (anyone on Shopify will have got about 30 emails about this last night 🤣) - Acquiring customers is expensive and its only getting more expensive. So how can we retain them and increase LTV while acquiring high quality customers in the first place? - Data is even more important than in 2023. We can no longer rely on Google Analytics or FB ads for accurate data. We need to be collecting more first party data and making informed decisions based on this If you're a brand or an agency, get in touch as RE:INVENT can help solve all 3! p.s. we just got named as one of the UK top 100 startups.
