Desired Education/Experience: Matric Relevant business focused qualification MBA or other postgraduate qualification advantageous 7-10 years of experience in franchising or related business development roles Proven track record in franchise management or expansion Strong business acumen and strategic planning abilities Excellent communication and negotiation skills Knowledge of South African franchise laws and regulations Roles and Responsibilities: Leading the development of Franchising’s short and long-term strategy, ensuring alignment with company short-term and long-term objectives Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities Identify target markets and growth opportunities Securing financially sound new franchisees Manage all enquiries into the Brand and Franchise opportunities Presentation of company concept and brand to possible franchisees Assist with the interviewing of possible Franchisees Maintain positive relationships with existing franchisees Manage franchise agreements and contracts Sourcing AAA sites and negotiate landlord contributions, rentals, and escalations Running of feasibility studies Negotiate tenant arrivals with landlords/developers to reduce the setup cost of new stores. Responsible for budgeting and forecasting of revenue and profitability. Responsible for meeting agreed set targets and developing necessary action plans to overcome variances. Recruit staff, performance manage subordinates, discipline and dismiss in a manner that ensures that the company gets maximum productivity whilst not exposing the company to any risk. Ensure staff are trained and motivated to assist them in growing and achieving goals in line with the company vision. Maintaining and improving Health and Safety standards in line with national Health and Safety Objectives. Responsible for ensuring prescribed financial process are implemented and adhered to. Responsible for Monthly Reports to line manager Maintain customer relations throughout the customer base. Growing brand – Sales Manage and control COS and Overheads to budget. Manage contract timelines with regards to implementation, renewals, terminations and price adjustments. Assist in providing knowledge and expertise to outer lying depots in region and to when required.
