We at PKH would like to give light to a story recently published by Michael Perchick, a reporter for ABC11, who put together a piece about the RN to BSN program offered by NCCU. This was the first Project Kitty Hawk-powered program that went live within the UNC System back in the fall. He highlighted how NCCU has seen an increase in enrollment for its RN to BSN program following a partnership with Project Kitty Hawk, and how the program offers flexible options for working nurses. Our partnership with NCCU addresses the shortage of nurses in North Carolina and aligns with the state's goal of achieving 2 million degrees or credentials by 2030. Read more about the program here, and thank you to Michael and the ABC11 team for telling our story! #PKH #NCCU #RNtoBSN #MyFutureNC https://lnkd.in/e3g_yYwY

PhD | Periop | Post-graduate Course Coordinator | Passionate about educational escape rooms/gamification | Lecturer in Nursing at University of South Australia
We know that using #escaperooms in #healthcareeducation can improve knowledge retention (and student engagement). How do we actually design an escape room? It is critical to identify the overarching purpose early in the design process. This choice will serve as the foundation for subsequent decisions regarding the game's setting, participant roles, and the tone of puzzles (Fotaris et al., 2022). Clearly defining the learning outcomes is also essential. Next is conceptualising the flow of puzzles within the escape room. Decisions about including 'distractor' puzzles should be made, considering their potential impact on the overall experience and the level of the learners. One approach to structuring an escape room involves a linear puzzle design without distractors. Each puzzle contributes to solving the clinical scenario and ultimately escaping the room. Incorporating these principles into the design process enhances the effectiveness of using escape rooms in healthcare education. #nursing #nursingeducation

Student diversity in higher education is being addressed through various strategies and initiatives aimed at promoting inclusivity, equity, and access for students from diverse backgrounds. Some of these strategies include: Diverse Recruitment and Admissions Policies: Many universities and colleges have implemented policies and practices to recruit and admit students from underrepresented and marginalized communities. This may include outreach programs, scholarships, and targeted recruitment efforts to attract students from diverse socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. Diversity in Curriculum and Pedagogy: Higher education institutions are increasingly incorporating diverse perspectives, voices, and experiences into their curricula and teaching methods. This may involve diversifying course materials, incorporating multicultural content, and using inclusive teaching practices to create an environment that is welcoming and responsive to the needs of all students. Support Services and Resources: Institutions are providing support services and resources to help students from diverse backgrounds succeed academically and socially. This may include mentoring programs, tutoring services, counseling and mental health support, and access to resources such as childcare, housing assistance, and financial aid. Cultural Centers and Affinity Groups: Many campuses have established cultural centers, multicultural offices, and affinity groups to provide spaces for students to connect, engage with their cultural heritage, and find support within their communities. These centers often offer programming, events, and resources that celebrate diversity and promote cross-cultural understanding. Diversity Training and Education: Institutions are investing in diversity training and education for faculty, staff, and students to raise awareness about issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This may include workshops, seminars, and training programs designed to foster cultural competency, promote inclusive practices, and address bias and discrimination. In general, addressing student diversity in higher education requires a multifaceted approach that involves proactive recruitment, inclusive teaching and learning practices, comprehensive support services, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable campus climate for all students. At LifeCare American, we prioritize and uphold the significance of diversity within our student body, ensuring that every individual feels respected, valued, and included. www.lifecareamerican.com, visit us today to learn more!

Students cannot pass licensure exams; they are just too deficient in their skills coming out of high school, but in the name of DEI, colleges gladly collect $$$ from tax-funded grants and loans and admit too many who should not be in these programs in the first place. The U, concerned about students' "emotional health," does not demand excellence or hard work. ALWAYS check the NCLEX passage rate before registering for a nursing program—but be aware the colleges can game the system, like Keiser U did by reporting the scores of "qualified [selected] students"! #collegecounseling #collegeadmissions #nursing #healthprofession #highereducation
