Today, at the Utiva 2023 Retreat, I showed everyone how we started! We started with a team of 3 and support from 2 of my friends- Genesis Francis and Temitope Balogun And now, we have grown to a team of about 60- and we are spinning Tech Talent Training, Talent Hiring, and Global Gig Hiring Infrastructure. We had fun at work today discussing our weaknesses and counting our losses! We highlighted some of our failures and then mapped out what to do to win in 2024! Now a team of 50! We are better positioned to do three things: 1. Invest more in technology infrastructure for workforce and the gig economy 2. Invest more in enterprise deals 3. Scale happiness for ourselves We are adaptable and hoping for a better result in the new year.

These are the ‘Champions’ of our region and as an organisation, Tech4Good South West wants to shine a light on this amazing work! We are thrilled to announce the launch of the brand-new tech for good recognition showcase, spotlighting the change makers making a positive social impact across the region through the power of tech. This showcase recognises people, teams, projects and organisations from across the South West for their tech for good achievements. These are our Tech4Good South West Champions! Anyone can get involved on behalf of their chosen champion and the first round of the initiative is now open to nominations on the site (https://lnkd.in/exh98YkM) We are looking for organisations and individuals who are utilising digital technology as a force for good in the world, creating equal opportunities for all to thrive. The champions will be selected that align with one or more of Tech4Good South West guiding principles: 🌍 Inclusivity and accessibility for all 🌍 Ethical use of data 🌍 Protecting the planet 🌍 Empowering innovation 🌍 Regional collaboration 🌍 Capacity building 🌍 Continuous improvement I know and have worked with many folk and companies where impact is at the heart of everything they do and at T4GSW it’s essential that we celebrate the change-makers in the South West and acknowledge the potential positive impact they are having. Technology has the potential to offer so many people wide-ranging opportunities. It can break down barriers to accessibility and address the digital divide that society is facing.
