𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: I work with candidates from associates right up to director level and it is clear to see that the depth of client information they look for is VERY different. An associate sees, fancy lunch clubs, gym memberships, lots of WFH and social culture as key. We all love these perks although more tangible facts work a lot better for more Senior candidates. Having a breakdown of a firms structure, revenue, financial forecasting, funding opportunities, EBIT DA and equity etc become non - negotiables before even setting up an initial calls for Directors! To be honest, I struggle with this at times! Some high level clients don't give away this information with no buy in from a candidate, understandable, BUT the best individuals wont move for potential, they want a tangible role they can get stuck into. I guess my point is directed at clients: I advice that you are more forthcoming with information... The more we know, the better we can sell you and the more likely it is you can bring on an exceptional new leader!! 🔍 Stuck in a Business Rut? Here’s a Fresh Perspective! We’ve all been there. At some point in our business journey, we hit a wall. We feel stagnant, with creativity at a low and challenges piling up. But did you know? There's a not-so-secret weapon to re-energize and gain fresh insights: Fractional roles and outside consulting. Here’s why: 🌐Diverse Perspective: Outside consultants come with a wealth of experience from diverse industries. This diversity offers fresh eyes and innovative solutions to longstanding problems. 💰Cost-Efficient: Hiring a full-time executive or specialist can be costly. Fractional roles offer high-level expertise without the full-time price tag. ⏰Flexibility: Need someone just for a specific project? Or only for a few days a week? Fractional roles and consultants offer that flexibility, adapting to your business needs. 📍Skill-Specific Expertise: Need to dive deep into a new market or launch a specialized campaign? Fractional professionals come with niche skill sets that can be difficult to find in a full-time hire. 🧐Objective Analysis: Sometimes, being too close to a problem blurs our vision. An outside consultant provides an unbiased viewpoint, helping businesses see the bigger picture. Feeling stuck isn’t a dead end. It’s an opportunity to leverage the vast pool of fractional talent and consultancy expertise available. It’s about working smarter, not harder. 🔧💡 If you're at a crossroads or simply want to #elevate your game, remember – stagnation is just a sign that it's time for new insights. Let's navigate the future together with ALL Insights! #BusinessGrowth #Innovation #fractionalcoo #entreprenuership #smallbusinessgrowth Ashleigh Lindsay

What's one of the biggest red flags to me in my search for work? It's the line "expected to be in the office 5 days a week". All that actually says to me is: "You're not measured by your results", "I'm a manager who doesn't know how to manage my reports", "I dont trust my reports". Corporate Communications Expert | Infusing agility and action in communications for global MNCs | Certified Human Behaviour Analyst
𝗦𝗵𝗵𝗵𝗵... 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁! When building a service business, one key question to ask is: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂? That’s where you will find the gold. The answer to this question provides insights into creating a valuable offering, enabling you to address critical pain points effectively. In #CorporateCommunications, here are some of the best-kept secrets: 1. 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗽: This function thrives on exceptional writing and creative thinking, yet over 80% of the time, teams struggle with these skills. This is not their fault; the daily grind leaves little room for creativity and fresh perspectives. 2. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀: In today's uncertain economic environment, for a support function like corporate communications, maintaining a full-time resource with a salary and benefits can be a significant burden. This includes not only the salary but also office space, provident funds, training, and other HR investments. 3. 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Transitioning hiring costs from fixed to variable through flexible work arrangements is a great way to keep operations nimble in large multinational organizations. However, this need remains unmet due to a lack of highly experienced, high-value, and high-quality employee-partners or consultants. Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of working with exceptional communicators and leaders in solving these problems. The insights I share come from my experience and from constantly seeking the answer to that one crucial question: What is it that people are not telling you? If you are facing these challenges and seeking solutions, let's chat. #Reputation #EmployeeRetention #EmployerBrand #CrisisManagement #ChangeManagement #InternalCommunications #MediaRelations #InvestorRelations #PublicRelations #writing #designing #Creativity #Communications

Unleashing Potential at Quest Global: Purpose-Driven Strategies & Servant Leadership | Aligning HR with Business Objectives | HR Consultant with international experience | Passionate about leading teams towards success
This post unpacks some insightful takeaways from "The Consulting Bible - Second Edition" by Alan Weiss, especially for HR professionals like myself. Initially, a statement about HR not being buying centers raised eyebrows, but here's why it makes sense: Focus on those who can approve the project, not just evaluate it. HR might assess the fit, but we often lack the final say. Alan says "Always look for the decision-maker, the one with signing power." Here are some of the many universally valuable takeaways that resonated with me from this book: - Offer Choices: Frame your proposals with multiple "yes" options for clients to choose from. - Expertise Sells: Build a strong reputation and attract clients through referrals and repeat business. - Write to Inform, Not Impress: Don't just showcase knowledge, write content that addresses your audience's needs. - Leverage Social Media: Share your expertise consistently, be it daily blogging or focused social media engagement. - Tech for Efficiency: Master the technology that directly aids your work, avoid getting bogged down in the rest. - Emotions Drive Action: Logic convinces, emotions compel. Tap into both when presenting your ideas. - Focus on Big Picture: Don't get lost in the details. Strategize for long-term impact. - Innovate, Don't Just Fix: Seek creative solutions, not just repairs. - Culture & Process: Sustainable change requires addressing both company culture and workflows. - Prioritize Relentlessly: Focus on what matters most and don't get sidetracked. - Turn Happy Clients into Promoters: Always aim to secure referrals - satisfied customers are a goldmine. - Meetings vs. Efficiency: Meetings are often inefficient for information exchange. Explore alternative communication methods. - Succession Planning Matters: It's crucial for growth but often overlooked. - Strategic Planning Demystified: Strategy defines the future you want, planning charts the course to get there. They are distinct, not interchangeable. - Implementation is Key: Great plans falter without proper execution and clear accountability. - Ethics Drive Success: Do well by doing good – ethical practices build trust and loyalty. - Protect Your Ideas: Safeguard your intellectual property. - Experience Earns More: As your expertise grows, negotiate for higher compensation. - Stay Visible: Maintain media presence to keep yourself and your services top of mind. To conclude, let's all strive to stay visible, keep learning, and give back to our fraternity! #consulting #hr #business #professionaldevelopment #learning #FutureCHRO #AnilkoshytheHR #theconsultingbiblesecondedition
