My Director sent us this article today and asked us for our opinions: https://lnkd.in/gCyFTEPc I think it's an excellent example of how all HR folks are different, and that we can offer "best practices" - but we can't expect to know the exact way that will speak to every organization in the world? I do think that organizations should be as accurate as possible in job postings though. They don't hold ALL the power - the applicant deserves to know what the job is all about before spending time applying as well. What do other folks think about this?

Came away with new insights from this - Candidate: What salary am I likely to receive in this role? Interviewer: The HR team will have this information. Please discuss it with them during the HR round. Candidate: For which client or project will I be working? Interviewer: We're open to several projects and positions. You'll be informed once you come on board. Candidate: Is work-from-home flexibility an option? Interviewer: It's case-dependent, varying by manager/client and even by project. The candidate falls silent. Interviewer: I trust that's cleared up your questions. Any other inquiries? Candidate: Indeed, I received such clarity that I've decided not to proceed. As an HR professional and once an applicant myself, let's have a simple policy: Be fully transparent and promptly notify candidates of our decision as soon as possible. The moment we know whether it's a yes or a no, they should know. Never leave a candidate hanging, waiting for a response. This closes the loop. It is also respectful and speaks volumes about the company's brand. #hrhumor #recruiterlife

But—I will give you for free 😁 If you're interviewing for anything—a new job, or new gig, here is 1 thing to do to get you closer to your goals: “Always seek the CONTEXT for every question asked.” Ex. When asked about your previous experiences, don’t rush in. Try to say something like this: “To make sure I understand what you’re really asking. Could you give me a scenario?” Another response could be: “To ensure we are aligned, are there specific experiences you noticed in my CV that you’d like me to focus on as I share?” This strategy can either expose you for the inexperience person that you are, or it can allow you shine as you demonstrate your expertise.
