🔺 A tip for talents who are working in "Sales"🔺 If you're confident about how well you are connected in the market and your Clients, Business Relations, Family Members, Friends and even simple Acquaintances are widespread in the market mention in your CV that you have "Wide Network of Connections" Companies know that the shortcuts for most closings are direct connections or their referrals. Being among circles keeps you up to date while getting insights and news from the market result in an added value for the company. If you are sociable then you have a high level of confidence. The value of connections makes business easier and it extends beyond sales and closings.

Psychology and Influence Skills to be in the Top 4% of Salespeople | Sales Coach & SDR Trainer | Sales Therapist 🧠 | Unlock the Power of Hypnosis in Your Conversations
This is a silver bullet. It doesn't exist in sales. For example, take the following cold call openers: 💬 "Hey Brandon, this is Robin with XYZ. I've been doing some work with tech leaders in the financial space and came across your name. You got a moment?" 💬 "Hi Sandra, this is Robin over at XYX. You were not expecting my call. Do you have a moment? I'll be brief." (One of my favs btw) Or the popular: 💬 "James, you're gonna hate me - this is a sales call. Do you wanna hang up now of give me 30 seconds? It's up to you." I've seen these openers work. I've seen them fail. I've heard them delivered badly (and land). I've heard them delivered perfectly (and flop). 👉🏼 Here's the secret (psst...there isn't one) Pick an opener you believe in enough. Run with it. Give it a good go. Reflect. Adjust where you need to. But... Don't think about it too much.

We're currently brokering an offer for an early stage company looking to build their sales team in the US. My colleague, Jake Braunscheidel who is on this search with me says to me "it's crazy, recruiting is much more than just finding good people." That's when it dawned on me. Yes, search is a LOT more complicated than just order taking and delivering. A great search firm will help with: Market mapping Managing expectations Acting as the intermediary on all negotiations Seeing through the fog and eliminating roadblocks (non competes, other offers, counter offers, expected bonus/commission etc.) Aligning expectations Ensuring the fit is there from day one to year one

Frustratingly i have been a victim of these circumstances on more occasions than i care to admit! Relationship and rapport building with clients and key decision makers has never been so important, if the relationship and the ground work is secure then your clients will listen to you when you tell them that time is an imperative factor to getting the hire they most want! If you're a client, do not fall victim to this imperative focus. If you're a candidate, ensure your process is dealt with efficiently. If you're a recruiter, don't suffer the shortfalls of my past & proactively approach the elephant in the room...FOMO Is your best ally!
Time kills all deals⏱ In sales, you'll hear, and say this frequently. However, it's also relevant in the recruitment process for candidates. 1 in 5 people admitted to turning down an offer from a perspective employer, purely for the offer taking too long to come. Like the person you've met? Getting an offer out to them with 48 hours will significantly increase your chances to getting them on board. Doing so with 24 hours will increase this chance even further 📆 Or, you could just delay your decision and have to start the process all over again.... you're choice.
