"The inspector general’s report described the staffing problems as “monumental,” noting high levels of burnout, frequent employee turnover and the burdens of constantly training new employees, some of whom fail to show up for their first day of work. For nursing homes, the inability to attract and retain certified nurse aides, dietary services staff and housekeeping workers is tied to federal and state reimbursements that do not cover the full cost of care." #HelpUsHIre #SupportNYSeniors #InvestInLongTermCare https://nyti.ms/3wLVbDt.

Is your facility prepared for a regulatory survey? #DavisClinicals highly skilled nurses can help prepare you and your staff with Mock Surveys! Why do I need a Mock Survey, you might ask? Mock surveys play a crucial role in assisted living and long-term care settings for several reasons: 1. Regulatory Compliance - Help facilities ensure that they are in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. Preventing costly fines, legal issues, and reputation damage. 2. Quality Improvement - Helps identify areas for improvement and make the necessary changes to enhance the quality of care provided. 3. Staff Training - Helps staff become familiar with the survey process and expectations of surveyors. Improving staff preparedness. 4. Risk Mitigation - By uncovering potential compliance and quality issues through mock surveys, facilities can take proactive measures to mitigate risks. 5. Enhanced Resident Care - Improving areas of concern greatly improves care outcomes for residents. This can include improvements in medication management, infection control, staff / resident rations, and more. 6. Continuous Improvement - Mock surveys should not be a one-time event but an ongoing quality improvement process. This allows facilities to regularly assess and improve operations. 7. Public Image and Reputation - Facilities that constantly perform well on mock surveys are more likely to be viewed favorably by residents, their families, and the community at large. 8. Financial Implications - Failing a regulatory survey can result in financial penalties, loss of Medicare/Medicaid certification, and a decrease in resident admissions. Let us help to proactively address any issues and create a plan of corrections so you and your facility can provide the best care possible! 👉 Contact to get started> https://lnkd.in/gz7YzeCd or Call ☎ 608-207-3415 #nurses #nurseconsultant #healthcareconsulting #mocksurvey #assistedlivingcommunity #assistedliving #womenownedbusinesses #womenownedbusiness #longtermcare #homecarenurse #homecareservices #memorycare #oncall #cbrftraining #training #skillednursing #skillednursingfacility #nursing #video #quality #content

Delighted to share these results from our recent pilot with Brunel University showing time savings when using our children's range of patient wear. With the Guardian reporting last year ........“The shortages in the UK’s 30 paediatric intensive care units (PICUs) are so severe that healthcare assistants are covering the work of nurses in an attempt to ensure that staffing levels are maintained." 2022 We have thought of this problem, unlike normal pyjamas, WellCool pyjamas unclip over IV lines. This enables healthcare assistants to be more involved in care without the need to wait for a trained nurse to disconnect lines from pumps saving on valuable time, reducing costs as well as improving patient experience. Here’s what the nurse managers had to say when our new range was trialled on some of the wards at Great Ormond Street Hospital last year. "Great access for central lines especially PICC lines in arms. Really handy for night shifts when child is asleep easy to access with minimal disturbance. Great access for taking temperatures. Love the 100% cotton, makes kids feel cooler. Love the colourful fabric. The Nurses loved them!" EG, MDS, EO - Ward Managers, Great Ormond Street Hospital - 2022 Our Children's range are stocked in Great Ormond Street Hospital Shop and have passed through infection control. Thank you Samantha McCormack MSc CSci FHEA MIScT ASPiH Accredited for making this happen! #nursing #patientexperience #patientcare #costsavings #change #hospitalgown #innovate #medicaldevices #ivtherapy
