It’s time we redefine and customize the scope of nursing practice to reflect the critical thinkers and clinical reasoners that nurses inherently are. 🩺 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞: The essence of nursing is not just in the tasks performed but in the judgment applied and the decisions made. By tailoring the scope of practice, we ensure that nurses are not just following protocols, but are actively engaging with their work, making informed decisions, and advocating for patient care that resonates with their nursing identity. 🤔 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠: Critical thinking is the fuel that powers clinical reasoning. It’s about looking beyond the obvious, questioning the status quo, and synthesizing information to form a holistic view of the patient’s needs.
