𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗪𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲? Discourse is essential for effective communication and collective progress. It allows individuals to articulate their thoughts, share knowledge, and challenge existing ideas, leading to a deeper understanding and more sophisticated concepts. By enabling constructive dialogue and conflict resolution, discourse promotes social cohesion and cooperation. Discourse is also crucial for informed citizen participation and decision-making. It ensures a variety of voices are heard and considered, making it important to question authorities and demand clarity regarding their actions. By driving innovation, facilitating learning, and strengthening community bonds, discourse is vital for both personal and societal improvement. For those who believe that asking questions, contemplating viewpoints, and contributing to existing discourse won't make a difference, I would like to emphasize that it truly does matter. Yes, it does matter. It holistically enhances our collective responsibility to hold each other accountable, and it does bring change. #Askquestions #Challengeauthorities

My fellow #DEI colleagues know how hard it can be to get people to take subtle exclusions seriously and to do something about them. My #TEDx video just posted, and I hope it can be a helpful resource in that effort. Please especially share with people who might be thinking that DEI work isn’t that important right now or that “you can’t say anything these days.” #subtleactsofexclusion #microaggressions #inclusion #inclusiveleadership #diversityequityinclusion #psychologicalsafety #SHRM24

🌟 My TEDx Talk Is Published🌟 Wow, I’m beyond thrilled! Dancing, shouting, and celebrating this incredible milestone. I didn’t even realize it was published until someone sent it to me. I'm someone who often writes down my goals. Why? I enjoy writing them but also love to stay focused. Years ago, becoming a TEDx speaker was one of those goals—although a distant dream, I had it on my list anyway. I never imagined it would be actualized in 2024. Despite having stories and ideas I believed in, the decision to apply was impulsive, not meticulously planned. This taught me an important lesson: sometimes, over-planning can lead to self-defeat. Instead, I saw the call to apply and went for it without overthinking. The experience was magical with six months of planning, hard work and anxiety. Even after receiving the invitation, I had moments of doubt, thinking I should drop out. Because, TEDx is a global platform with many brilliant ideas, making it highly competitive, so naturally, I had moments of disbelief but eventually left the outcome to fate. Thanks TEDxOshawa team and TEDx platform for believing in my story, my experiences, and the message I have to share to the world. Now, as I stand here as a TEDx speaker, I’m reminded of the power of dreams and the importance of taking that leap of faith. If you believe in your story, the world will too. #TEDxSpeaker #DreamsDoComeTrue #BelieveInYourself #PowerOfStorytelling #GlobalPlatform #TEDxOshawa #tedtalk #tedxspeaker https://lnkd.in/eZtxddrs
