Helping people know God and raise their standard of living through Bible study and classical Christian education in schools.
Great article about the sacrifices that grandparents endure as they send their missionary children and grandchildren off to the mission field. it definitely is a sacrifice, but there are many blessings, and ways to mitigate the challenges. I would think this article would apply in the inverse as well when grandparents are called to overseas mission service, and leave behind grandchildren and children. There is a cost, but as the Bible says, shall I give the Lord that which costs me nothing? But of course, we also remember that the Lord is no man’s debtor. If one is called to the mission Field, there are obstacles and challenges, but the rewards and the satisfaction of service in the overseas mission field far outweigh those challenges, and the growth in the knowledge of the Lord is immeasurable. https://lnkd.in/eekUbxxg

Independence More than just a celebration of harmony, We should always remember our history Our forefathers labor and legacy, How they fought for justice and liberty. Let's build an outstanding country, Of peace and prosperity. We are blessed with priceless diversity, Let us revel in safety and sanctuary. As we strive to defend her status and unity, And uphold her honor and glory, We sought from the Lord Almighty, To bless our land with boundless serendipity. Got to close out our timely—and challenging—series, "Blessed are the Peacemakers," at Christ City Church DC yesterday: https://lnkd.in/gMZfz_Kf "It takes much longer to heal than it does to harm. It takes much longer to rebuild than it does to demolish. The work of peacemaking is a heavier lift than the work of warmongering. It’s less profitable, that’s for sure. The work of tearing down with our words is far easier than the work of building up or holding your tongue or holding space long enough and often enough to earn someone’s trust. The work of breaking cycles of violence; breaking generational curses—unprocessed, untransformed trauma and hurt enacted on or just passed onto the innocent and vulnerable; choosing to forgive rather than claiming your revenge, your retribution—that’s peacemaking and that’s hard. But it is the way of God. 'Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.'" If you're interested in the whole four-week series, I think it's worth checking out: https://lnkd.in/gYndWfpv 1. "Blessed are the Peacemakers" - Matthew Watson 2.
