7 helpful tips for getting the most out of an industry conference or summit 1. Pre-conference research Before the event, research attendees, speakers, and sponsors to identify key players and potential leads. 2. Set clear objectives Define specific goals for the conference, whether it's to generate leads, network with industry professionals, or learn about the latest trends. 3. Be proactive on the conference floor Instead of staying at your booth, actively engage with attendees by planning which accounts to approach each day and building personal connections. 4. Networking strategically Don't just collect business cards; focus on building meaningful connections. Be genuine, listen actively, and offer value where you can. 5. Network and attend events: Networking and attending events can be a great way to generate leads and grow your business. Also, events are a great way to stay current with industry developments and to hear from other thought leaders in your field. More importantly, don’t just attend, be active and engage with other attendees, also follow up with people after the event to maintain the relationship.
