What will the world look like in 2100? This is one of the questions we explored with educators last week at the Transforming Education summit, where we spent an afternoon visioning the future we're working towards. So often we are trapped in short-term planning, policies and visions for our education system, especially whilst it remains attached to our political merry-go-round. Conversely, legacy-building is so vital if we are to create a healthier future for people and planet; working towards something we may not see in our lifetime but that we can be seeding, forming and building foundations upon which ideas evolve. We draw on the practice of 'active hope' in our work and offerings at ThoughtBox Education - looking ahead to the future we wish to unfold and taking the first steps right now in that direction. We each sent a 'postcard from the edge' to share our visions of 2100 and give us a clear horizon to be walking towards. What's your 2100? #transformingeducation #legacybuilding #futurethinking #regeneration #triplewellbeing
I have a postcard from 2100 sitting on my desk. It shows me the road I live on in 76 years' time, flourishing with greenery and people (bear with my less than expert drawing skills!). Coming back from co-hosting ThoughtBox Education's Transforming Education Summit with Rachel Musson last week, I'm buzzing with the promise of the future we can all start creating together now. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of struggle in the world right now and sometimes I find myself feeling hopeless about the direction our world seems to be travelling in. There were tears over the 3 days we were at Hawkwood, frustrations, anger, sadness. But there was also hope, friendship, community. And it's this seed of connection that I will continue to be tending, in the active and radical hope that the future we want to see is possible if we journey there together.

A quote from Denzel Washington that we live by in G Team Academy... 🏃♂️ 'Don’t confuse movement with progress.' We’ve saved multiple business owners 10-15 hours a week by cutting out tasks unrelated to their goals! 💪 Here is the three step process we use: 1️⃣ Goal Evaluation - Understand what goals you have for the future of the business 2️⃣ Future Projection - Map out what needs to be done to achieve them 3️⃣ Calendar Adjustment - Review your calendar and ensure it aligns with the projection If you find yourself making a lot of movement but not a lot of progress, book in a free 20-minute calendar review through the link in our bio and we’ll be happy to work through our three step process with you! 📈
