Metering infrastructure and meter data management services for developers, building managers, and utility companies
Another day and another set of bad accounting or outright misrepresentation from the folks at SAV / EnergiRaven. This time they're pretending that Næstved Fjernvarme have said things that they haven't about costs. Here's the source comparing the cost of heat pumps / boilers with district heat in Næstved: https://lnkd.in/e5YWrSy8 https://lnkd.in/ev8X9D87 All very straightforward. Domestic gas at 11.7p/kWh makes life very much easier for alternatives. SAV / EnergiRaven have gone and added a line on page 11 to say that the calculation doesn't include the cost of a new heat pump or boiler though. This is simply not true and nowhere did Næstved Fjernvarme say that. The calculation assumes that you borrow £16.1k or £4.6k to install a heat pump or boiler every 15 years; then repay this as an annual instalment. This line item therefore DOES include the cost of a new heat pump and boiler at end of life. (you would borrow again to replace it and your annual loan cost would remain the same) I know you're trying to promote district heating by citing examples in Denmark. It would be very much more helpful if we could trust what you're saying to be an accurate translation instead of a distortion to suit your particular commercial interests. We did today learn that you can charge £62.50 a year for meter reading if you're in Denmark though; so thanks for that. I thought it was a typo with the decimal place in the wrong spot but no that one was actually real; so thanks for that! :-)
What does District Heat-as-a-Service (DHaaS) mean in Denmark and how is it helping the green transition away from polluting gas boilers to clean heat networks. According to Næstved, one of Denmark’s leading district heating companies, around 99% of its new customers now connect via the DHaaS model. #HeatHighways #HeatTransmissionHighways #GreenHeat #StreetbyStreet #heatnetworks #communalheating #communalheatnetworks #districtheating #districtheatnetworks #wasteheat #excessheat #surplusheat #renewableheat #energywaste #fuelpoverty #heatutilities #heatutility

Merging financial success with environmental sustainability | Fractional CFO - Guiding EcoPreneurs to Increase Financial Success to Benefit People and Planet
Clean water is becoming one of our most valuable natural resources. We need a better way of managing our water supply.
The NY Times did the heavy lifting here because we have no centralized system for tracking and managing groundwater use. State by state, water is at the mercy of local politics. We need a better way. #water #energy #resources https://ow.ly/OKwm50PFyBH

Our Home 🌏 is Burning 🔥 The increasing temperatures and heatwaves are becoming a severe threat to humanity, especially in regions like South Asia. Temperature Scale passing through 50°C. These heatwaves are becoming deadly and if it continues like this I wonder this could become an event of mass extinction. (God Forbids) It's High time that Tree Plantation must be taught as a subject in Schools, Colleges and Universities. This is our world, our home and we must take initiatives on immediate basis to fight this. Have empathy for those people who can't afford the luxury of Air Conditioners, Cool Environments. It's crucial to address climate change and take immediate action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, invest in renewable energy, and implement adaptation measures to protect vulnerable communities. We have to act as soon as possible. #plantation #climatechange #heatwaves #extremesummers #extinction

Just some of the #flooding in my area! We’ve had record #rainfall here in #NewYork, and all I can think about is how we need to be simultaneously: 1) divesting from #fossilfuels that are contributing to a #climatecrisis that’s leading to these #extremeweatherevents 2) investing in the growth and #maintenance of #greeninfrastructure 3) paying the folks who plant and care for our #trees and #parks a #livingwage 4) creating or joining #mutualaid groups, so that we can all be looking out for each other 5) staying grounded in the countless #solutions we have in facing the climate crisis in a thoughtful and just way
