🇪🇺 Carlos Llombart, Chief Customer and Corporate Strategy Officer at Power Electronics, has participated in the launch of the #paper "Inverters 2.0: Strengthening Europe’s inverter industry", outlining the importance of the European #inverterindustry and the obstacles we are currently facing. ⚡️ During the meeting, representatives from the inverter industry presented the IPCEI concept to Kerstin Jorna, the European Commission's Director-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs. 💙 Power Electronics supports a quickly implemented IPCEI that stimulates an #innovative and #sustainable investment leap forward, empowering Europe to keep pace with the rest of the world.
📣 We're calling for an Important Project of Common European Interest for solar #inverters! IPCEIs are led by EU countries, and as cross-border breakthrough innovation 🔬projects, they can contribute significantly to the achievement of EU strategies, like the #EUGreenDeal. Today, at #IntersolarEurope, SolarPower Europe and representatives from the inverter industry launched 🚀 the paper ‘Inverters 2.0: Strengthening Europe’s inverter industry’. The paper includes a plan for an IPCEI for #IncredibleInverters which was presented to Kerstin Jorna, the European Commission's Director-General for Industry. Europe can use an inverter IPCEI to target improvements in: 💡 The technical capacity of power electronics ⛓ Access to critical components of inverters 🔌Grid forming abilities, to support greater, smoother, solar integration into the #grid 🔐Enhanced cyber-preparedness 📲 Strengthened #digitalisation and interoperability Read the full paper 👇 https://lnkd.in/eMyeq5kb Carlos Llombart Power Electronics | Katharina Luise Eickelberg SMA Solar Technology AG | Martin H.
