Autonomous Driving (AD) could revolutionize the way consumers experience mobility as the AD systems aim to make driving safer and more convenient. It promises a future where road traffic accidents and beating red traffic light are no longer a feature of life. Robotaxis become a more frequent sight in some cities in China and the USA. Did you catch us at AutoTech: Detroit? For the first time ever, we showed eSync facilitating OTA updates to containerized software on a real, working autonomous vehicle. In collaboration with the Autoware Foundation and SOAFEE, this is a clear demonstration of how standardized, reliable automotive OTA can be used to accelerate the development of autonomous and software-defined vehicles. The result of a partnership between the eSync Alliance, the Autoware Foundation and SOAFEE, is also testament to the power of collaboration in the development of automotive OTA, and shows the ability of eSync’s platform to enable collaboration.
