Today, June 19, is Juneteenth—a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. In observance of this historic day and in celebration of freedom, Pontera's U.S. office will be closed. We also salute Al Edwards, who as a state representative in 1979 authored and sponsored the first state house bill that made Juneteenth a state holiday in Texas.

For #PrideMonth, we celebrate Walter B. Schubert, Jr., who in 1994 became the first openly gay member of the New York Stock Exchange. His experiences prompted him to champion the development of a more inclusive environment at the exchange. In 1998, he founded ‘Gay Financial Network’, a website dedicated to financial interests and personal challenges of the LGBTQ community. In 2009, he was selected as the lead architect of the NYSE's Financial Literacy Council.
