Researcher at Research Institute for Sports Science and Technology

Dr Annie Wang, member of RISports and Research Assistant Professor of PolyU | Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME), led a research team to install a new multicamera system at the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) karate studio. The system can do markerless motion capture and performance analysis for karate athletes. It is welcomed by Mr Mohamed Elhosieny Aly, Technical Commission Chairman of World Karate Federation and Chairman of Asian Karate Federation Technical Commission, Mr William Thomas, Head Karatedo Coach of HKSI, and karate referee of Asian countries.
