The big moment is here! Thrilled to announce our partnership with ElevenLabs and introduce the AI Audio Series. This initiative will transform storytelling by making it easier than ever for writers worldwide to turn their stories into engaging audio series. This innovation not only speeds up the creative process but also makes creating audio entertainment more inclusive and accessible. Here are some key achievements from our testing phase: • We have significantly increased production efficiency and reduced costs by up to 90% in the early stages. • Writers now experience a 10-12 times faster turnaround in converting stories to audio series. • We have produced over 30,000 hours of high-quality audio content during our experiments, with plans for even more in the coming year. • Users have given us overwhelmingly positive feedback, praising the quality and engagement of our AI-generated narration, which is at par with human narrators. Does it pose a threat to human narrators? Looking ahead, we believe human narration will continue to play a crucial role on our platform. We recognize the importance of diverse expertise in creating amazing audio series. AI narration will complement this by expanding our content library and accelerating our go-to-market strategy. And here's how AI complements the present creation landscape and enhances the audio entertainment industry: • Efficiency: Makes high-quality production faster and cheaper. • Democratization: Allows anyone to create high-quality audio series. • Adaptations: Creates narrations in many languages, reaching a wider audience.Provides realistic voices with emotional and cultural depth. • Content at scale: Produces large amounts of high-quality content quickly. As we expand globally and innovate in content creation, this marks a significant step forward in the evolution of storytelling. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of audio entertainment, enriching the experience for audiences worldwide. Let's raise a toast to the #writers and #listeners who make this journey possible! Big cheers to #PocketFMCommunity, #ElevenLabs, #AIAudioSeries, #Innovation and #Storytelling! This is a dangerous trend. It'll push voice artists out of work. I'm familiar with ElevenLabs. You can choose the number of speakers, the tone of voice, the target language and the software will instantly create an entire voice track. It can even clone a real human's voice and assign that clone to a particular voice track and it almost sounds like that real person is speaking. It even copies the speaker's way of taking pauses, his way of breathing and it sounds almost identical to a real human. It'll definitely dent voice talents' work. I guess the idea here is not to give your consent to any organization to clone your voice, when you're recording for them.

Good decision but bad initiative. I don't know why cost cutting is a trend now a days ... Cost cutting is some one living off on someone's cost. But kya farak padta hai ki voice artist ki job Jaa Rahi ki nahi ... Kya farak padta hai ki sound engineer designer pe ab voice generate karne ka load hai ki nahi ... Aise ya waise bechare sab exploit ho rahe hai. Yehi duniya hai, yehi jiwan hai, yehi Satya hai.

People criticizing AI for taking jobs forget that their comfortable car/bike/uber/ola rides replaced horse-drawn carriages and cycle rickshaws. Should they protest against cars because rickshaw pullers lost their jobs? This is just one example. Progress always has its disruptions. So adapt because AI can streamline processes and open up new opportunities.

I love AI, but you're giving them our jobs. Voice acting is something a human can do so much better because they understand emotions. AI doesn't understand emotions. What are you talking about? I'm really disappointed with the partnership.

The remaining 10% efficiency and profitability comes when they produce AI generated stories, who knows it must already be happening. Mass produced machine generated content will eventually lose its value. In order to achieve accessibility, democratisation and profitability tech companies have devalued all skill based art forms like writing, design, voice and music. Sad but this is the new reality. Godspeed!

Are you open to the comments of one of your oldest narrators? I've narrated with you for 4 years now, and I'd love to share my thoughts.Prateek Dixit

Finally! Every time I would hear someone in my family listening to pocket FM, I’d keep thinking of how much production time would be saved if they just used AI voices. It seemed so clear that if there was one industry where AI voices would fit in, it’d be the faceless storytelling industry; which is why AI voices are such a hit in Pictory too. The testing phase results are super!
