BEING #HANDS ON AT #SITE Site #work often involves the following actions: -#Installation of our #solution -#Commissioning of our solution -#Training on our solution Typically, it is the last activity we perform in the project cycle. Being hands on is one of the key #elements of #site work. Also #tools, #equipment and #PPE. When working at site, we also have to deal with #extreme conditions. -Extreme #weather (hot, cold, snow…) -Extreme #space (confined space, underground, 100 m above ground, …) -Extreme #deadline (minutes, hours, days…) #Hands on work at site often gets overlooked. Kudos to our team at site. You are doing great work Deo Gratias

Trench collapse deaths are a preventable tragedy in the construction industry. Despite safety measures and regulations, collapses continue to occur due to inadequate training, lack of protective systems, and cost-cutting measures. Workers are often unaware of trenching hazards, and employers prioritize deadlines and profits over safety. Poor soil conditions and weather factors also contribute to the risk of collapse. To prevent these incidents, employers must provide adequate training and implement protective systems like trench boxes and shoring. Regulators must enforce safety standards, and workers must prioritize their safety and speak out against unsafe conditions. By taking these steps, we can eliminate trench collapse deaths and ensure a safer construction industry. By prioritizing safety and taking proactive steps, we can prevent these tragic incidents and ensure that workers return home safely at the end of each day.
I thought the one deserved its own stand alone follow up .. 2 days into the work week and 2 very serious incidents 1 fatality .. This shit is so preventable yet every week there’s another news article .. another headline I can’t imagine someone having to tell my daughter that her dad’s gone or my parents having to get the call to come identify a body.. Some of you know I’m the VP of a non profit who’s mission is bringing younger people into the trades everybody says nobody wants to join the trades nobody wants to work labor shortages or at an all-time high… Who the fuck would come do this? Why when you see week after week somebody dying would anybody sign up to do this line of work? We’ve painted a pretty bad picture In my opinion.. And before we start bringing a new people, let’s try not kill the ones we have. It’s pretty simple hole- shore it up. #thinkinsidethebox #excavatesafe #trenchsafetytuesday #trenchsafety #excavate Trenching and Excavation Safety Taskforce (TEST) Danielle Foley BlueCollarBrunettes Gary Donovan ROADPLATES COM
