GO7, a provider of airline technology, has entered a partnership with Emirates and BLADE to provide a one-of-a-kind travel experience. Since 2022, BLADE has been offering scheduled helicopter flights between Nice and Monaco, operated by Monacair, providing unparalleled convenience and luxury to travellers. The collaboration between Emirates and BLADE has been made possible through a Special Prorate Agreement (SPA) between Emirates and W2 and W2’s global ticketing platform offered by GO7. This innovative system enables Emirates passengers to seamlessly traverse between Dubai and Monaco/Nice, completing their journeys with a single Emirates interline ticket, including Blade segments marketed under GO7’s W2 marketing carrier code. airBaltic announced a few new routes yesterday, starting next summer (Vilnius-Krakow, yay!). The new names always attract the most attention, but I want to emphasise the impact of recent developments on Lithuania's connectivity. The new direct flights from Palanga to Amsterdam put the Lithuanian coast on the global map in the TOP5 European hub. The flights will operate with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines codeshare so you can get from Los Angeles to Los Palangeles on a single ticket with a convenient 2-hour layover in Schiphol. airBaltic operates daily morning flights from Vilnius to Amsterdam with KLM codeshare. The frequency of flights from Vilnius to Munich Airport (currently four times per week) will grow to 5 times per week starting October this year and further develop to 6 times per week in Summer 2024. These flights are operated with a codeshare from Lufthansa, so this is an extra daily flight to Lufthansa's network (and Munich is way more convenient than Frankfurt, at least from my point of view). The frequency of flights from Vilnius to Paris CDG will grow to 5 times per week next summer. These flights are operated with a codeshare agreement from Air France, an extra connectivity boost to the Air France-KLM network. I am happy to see more frequencies to Amsterdam, Paris and Munich (all TOP5 hubs in Europe) than we had pre-pandemic. #connectivity #lithuanianairports

“We want to go further together with KLM” This is what I told Marjan Rintel, KLM CEO, in Amsterdam. We both share a common ambition : to make Amsterdam Schiphol a unique air-rail hub in Europe. We want to strengthen our existing modal shift (air to rail) partnership on Brussels - Amsterdam, but also aim to explore more complementarity between air and rail. Eurostar has a unique role to play in travel decarbonization replacing short haul flights. We will build with KLM an offer answering passenger needs. Amsterdam is at the core of our Eurostar network, this is why Eurostar continues to look for solutions to maintain London services to Amsterdam Centraal during station’s renovation. Marjan Rintel said: “We are committed to providing a smooth, comfortable journey for our transfer customers. We have now replaced a daily flight from Brussels to Amsterdam by train. But we are not there yet. The train should become a better alternative to short-haul flights in Europe and connect smoothly with our network. Ryanair always wins! ⚽✈ With just a couple more weeks of EURO 2024 action, it's clear that #airlines are poised to be among the tournament's star performers - regardless of what happens on the pitch! Flight capacity to Germany during the tournament is up 5% vs the same period last year, indicating a significant boost in travel demand. However, proprietary Athenx data reveals that, similar to the action on the field, there are both winners and losers in the skies. A snapshot of Athenx revenue projections taken in the run-up to the competition shows that low-cost carriers #Ryanair and Eurowings, with their dynamic and flexible strategies, are outperforming their competitors - scoring metaphorical goals and capturing a larger share of the market. As the tournament progresses, it's evident that the agility and adaptability of no-frills airlines are key to their success.
