Experiencing major setbacks with Porter! Was counting on an urgent express courier for 28-April-2024, but it's been languishing in the source region for over a day now. The tracking system's off-kilter and customer service is a letdown — can't even speak to an authorized personnel! Ticket ref: PTL-27729. When reliability falters, business suffers! #PorterCourierService #CustomerExperience

DOT Week 2024 is coming up May 14-16th! Be sure to mark your calendars, and have conversations with your partners and clients to set expectations for the week. As a shipper, if your tender acceptance rate KPI is 90% but you are currently sitting at a 98% acceptance rate, what would it look like for your network to experience an 8% increase in tender rejections as carriers or brokers use their full 10% as needed during DOT inspection week? As a broker, if you are using consistent carriers to cover your lanes, reach out to them proactively to find out if any will be sitting out or losing capacity this week, so you can start planning to source additional capacity. Try to have a little extra patience this week, plan for more lead time so delays do not have negative impacts, and be as flexible as possible with working in carriers and rescheduling deliveries. #logistics #trucking #supplychain #produce #dot #safety #operations

To all Brokers & Drivers! What are your thoughts on market fluctuation - low posted rates or drivers securing loads without negotiations? For instance, a recent example involved a load from Tacoma, WA to Orlando, FL weighing 7000lbs with a payment of $2800. While we initially secured the load for $3800, another party accepted it at the posted rate, incurring a loss of $1000. Share your insights on this scenario! Jason Rabine

1moAs a low cost airline, as long as you stick to the same type rating to all the pilots, it is going to be fine. Following the Ryanair model which all pilots are rated for Boeings 737 to get better deals with Boeing and more cost effective when it comes to their training.
