I just concluded Asia Estate Planning Association's AGM today (7 Mar 24). Together with the following EXCO members (Cheong Tien Fook Sky, Eunice Hooi, Wei Ping Chong 鍾偉平, David Chee, Seow Ling Low, Jia Jia Lem, Kwek Yong, Wong (黄国荣）we got elected by the members to form the 2nd batch of EXCO to lead AEPA from 2024 to 2026. While watching the members putting up their hands with the voting slip giving each of us the approval, I felt a sense of awe, pride, and also humility. The weight of leadership has fallen onto our shoulders, & we will respond & serve to our best on our manifesto of 7 estate planning competencies; 3 target markets; and 1 singular belief on estate planning. Some have asked why we want to do what we do with an association? My respond: "We only have one life to live on earth; make it count!"
