Early careerist: Master of Healthcare Administration graduate, and certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Business/Data Analyst, and Project Management professional, seeking relevant experience and opportunities for growth
This video cites 4 reasons: 1) The job is a mid-level position posted on numerous job boards, and the ATS isn't specified for what level of experience (entry, mid-level, executive), so on LinkedIn jobs that don't specify are sometimes categorized as entry-level when they're not. 2) Disagreement between the hiring manager & HR where the manager prevails in demanding unnecessary qualifications. 3) There's too many applicants/expected applicants so they're trying to narrow down/filter the eligible candidates. And 4) they're trying to demand a lot, but also lower the compensation to see if they can find someone that meets strict requirements & is willing to work for less.

How can recruiters work with hiring managers to identify key skills needed for open roles? 👀 In my experience, there are two categories of requirements for experience and skills in any job: (1) 'must have' experience (2) 'nice to have' experience. How to understand which experience is a 'must have', and which is a 'nice to have'? Ask yourself the following questions? - what problem should be solved by hiring a candidate for this vacancy? - what results do you expect from the candidate who will come to this vacancy in 3-6 months? - what will a typical day look like on this vacation? The answers to these questions will help you understand which requirements are 'must have', and which are a 'nice to have'. What do you think? Let me know in the comments 👇

Director of Talent Acquisition / Army Vet / Veteran Advocate / I play “Where’s Waldo” to find the right candidate
For 98% of jobs, the hiring process should not take more than 3 weeks. And I mean what the candidate goes through. I’m not talking about getting HR to bless off, alignment meetings with the hiring manager, revising the job description, etc. I mean from a candidate screen to offer out. Here’s why. CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE.
