Top 1% viewed. The Aesthetic Recruiter™ I place top talent in the Aesthetic Industry- Device, Injectables, Skincare, Practice Development/Post Sales support, Marketing roles, and Leadership. Over 41,000 followers
Click see more to read this entire post. Don't just look at the picture. As an executive recruiter, I want to remind you that my job is to get my clients the right candidate, not to get a candidate a job. That is what a staffing agency is for. I have clients who pay me as a recruiter to find them the exact talent they need. This role is for sales reps who have already been Territory Managers or have sold expensive capital equipment to private businesses or physicians' offices, not into hospitals but to actual private physician offices. This is for aesthetic laser or device sales reps who are ready for a promotion to this title. If you only have experience selling to a hospital where the doctor does not personally have to pay for the device you are selling, it is tough to get hired for this role. Sometimes, although it is rare, a client will consider experienced capital sales reps from outside the aesthetics industry, such as medical equipment sales, dental sales etc., for this role. In my experience, I have yet to place a hospital sales rep as an ASM. You would have to be closing your own deals and have significant numbers of sales, such as over $2M annually, to be considered for this title of Area Sales Manager. My clients want top TMs from competitors (newer to the industry and hungry) or ASMs stuck with no mobility. Will not consider industry veterans with 5 companies in 10 years and no P-club awards. Will consider: Aesthetic sales non-capital equipment sales reps with documented presidents club awards Dental sales with P-club awards Surgical B2B sales with awards (not OR sales) Ophthalmology/Urology sales with awards

➖Medical Sales➖ This is where it all started! In the beginning I didn’t know a thing. Everyday I felt like a deer in the head lights. But I woke up day in and day out with excitement and an eagerness to learn. Chris O'Neill ( my senior rep) was very patient with me when I thought I knew more than him ( not the case at all ) Lol I’m super grateful that he spent the time to teach me what it took to be a good rep. No one prepares you for this job. Not the hiring manager, not even the company. Not until you’re in the thick of it do you truly know what it all entails. You’re always on the go, your phone is ringing non stop, and your home becomes the hospital. Honestly, medical sales is not a job. It’s a LIFESTYLE You don’t get to shut it down at 5 pm. You’re constantly, planning, preparing, and performing. Then you add a family to the mix and try to learn a work / life balance. But, in my opinion it’s one of the most rewarding jobs around. The feeling you get after a successful case cannot be matched. All the planning and hard work and the patient has an amazing outcome. Nothing is better. #medicaldevices #medical #medtech #sales #hardwork #motivation

Medical Sales Reps: Your manager or VP comes and rides with you for the day . . . gulp. . . What do you do? Options: * Take them to your best accounts to show off how well you know the account and introduce them to a few physicians or admins? * Take them cold calling the entire day * Something in between? Take a minute and think about how they can be helpful to drive more business in your territory. What are they great at? Relationship building, territory strategy, opening a door for you, turning around an account that went sideways? They most likely have a few key relationships in your territory. Don't just take them to your best 4-5 accounts that day. Take advantage of their wisdom, expertise, and guidance. They want to help you close more business and help you protect what you have. Send them an agenda the afternoon or evening before so they can also prepare mentally for what they might be walking into. Lastly, you don't need to be a hero and pick them up at 6am (or earlier) in the AM from their hotel. . . unless you absolutely need to.
