We are delighted to share with you an exclusive video update on the Apricale, Viritech’s Hydrogen Hypercar. Timothy Lyons and Matt Faulks conceived the concept for the Apricale in 2021 as the first zero-emissions hydrogen Hypercar and an icon for the age of Hydrogen Mobility. Styled by our friends at Pininfarina and drawing on Matt’s motorsports experience, the brief for the Apricale was to be beautiful; with over 1,000 bhp in a car weighing less than 1,000kg, it was to deliver for the first time a zero-emissions Hypercar capable of surpassing the performance of the best petrol-engined Hypercars. The Apricale encapsulates Viritech’s philosophy of delivering zero-emission mobility without compromising performance and has already played a central role in shaping the design philosophy of Viritech’s industry-leading hydrogen powertrains. INEOS Automotive boss Lynn Calder, when talking to Auto Express, claims battery power is impractical for vehicles like the Grenadier as weight is prohibitive, and with it's use case of “heavy off-road, potentially in the middle of nowhere, or towing, it really doesn’t work as an EV”. The hydrogen fuel-cell option “does everything a Grenadier does, but in net-zero form”. Stellantis makes a big move in Europe with hydrogen fueled vehicles. Translation Fleet of hydrogen vehicles from Stellantis to Hysetco July 2, 2024 Stellantis Pro One reinforces its leadership in the hydrogen vehicle market. Equipped with hydrogen power, the Peugeot e-Expert joins the Hysetco fleet. Hydrogen News - Stellantis Pro One has started the delivery of hydrogen vehicles to Hysetco, Europe's leader in hydrogen mobility. This important step is seen as a big step towards sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation solutions. Stellantis Pro One, commercial vehicle business unit, has reinforced its leading position in hydrogen solutions by offering Peugeot e-Expert Hydrogen models to Hysetco. This delivery symbolizes a rapid start of the year, with a market share of over 33 percent in the electric market share in Europe (EU29) and over 31 percent in the entire energy market. In addition to this powerful year start, Stellantis will deliver a range of Peugeot e-Expert Hydrogen to Hysetco, the French company, the leader in Europe's hydrogen mobility, in the coming months. These vehicles will be offered to professionals under the Hysetco package and will include all associated services (maintenance, repair, insurance, spare vehicles, administrative operations, training, etc.) and will be specifically designed for passenger transport (taxis with wheelchair access, shuttles, etc.), logistics or other professional uses (as commercial vehicles).
