😢 😢 😢 My thoughts with my brothers and sisters in UAE and Oman and Bahrain. Climate change is real, and the world needs to act to maintain the sustainability of industry and resources on Planet Earth. Due to the population increase, the demand for food is expected to increase by 50% by 2050, so we need to plant more land and use fertilizers to meet that demand (SDG2) while saving Planet Earth.

From Chris Martz Weather: On this date 70-years ago in 1954, there was coast-to-coast heat. It was ≥95° in a total of 37 states and 28 of those states were also ≥100°. • 95° in New Jersey and Wisconsin • 96° in Minnesota • 97° in Oregon and Washington • 98° in Delaware and Wyoming • 99° in Utah and West Virginia • 100° in Florida, Maryland, Nevada, New Mexico and Ohio • 101° in Idaho, Iowa and Pennsylvania • 102° in Louisiana and Virginia • 103° in Alabama, Colorado, Kentucky, Mississippi, Oklahoma and South Carolina • 104° in Arizona, North Carolina and Tennessee • 105° in Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas and Texas • 106° in Indiana, Missouri and Nebraska • 108° in Illinois • 109° in California We don't get heat this intense over this large of an area very often these days in the U.S. (contrary to what the media wants you to think), but this was quite common prior to 1960, particularly during the 1930s and 1950s. https://lnkd.in/gsPe8D9y

Some options to try, the pollen is building up. I noticed a huge difference in the suburbs vs the country. Difference in volume of bees around and difference in amount of pollen building up on surfaces. Countryside is way more in balance with volume and less pollen buildup.

It is great when passion, drive, and resiliency meet to define success and intentionality towards a career journey. University of North Carolina at Pembroke students and alumni like Samuel Shelton made time for academics and career success. As a student he pursued opportunities to implement classroom knowledge out in the real world, and now the real world is his classroom. It is always great to see University of North Carolina at Pembroke scholar's life change through education. To all #BraveNation scholars keep up the great work. #BraveNation #UNCP #WMBF #UNCPconnect
Yesterday was First Alert Weather Day! I saw the appreciation first-hand from our viewers as our team WMBF News kept them informed ALL DAY throughout the Grand Strand.
