We've kicked off 2024 with vigour at @Photonics Ghana, committed to fostering student understanding of photonics and physics through hands-on experiences. Our recent Senior High School outreach program at The Opoku School, OWASS was a resounding success, thanks to the support of FinCeal , University of Eastern Finland, and SPIE, enabling over 700 Ghanaian students and teachers to delve into the wonders of photonics with PEK kits.  Excited to collaborate further with KNUST Photonics Club , Akyana Britwum and the whole KNUST team, whose dedication made the event a success.  Gratitude to George Dwapanyin, PhD, MInstP, an Optica ambassador and valued member of Photonics Ghana, for his unwavering support.  Special thanks to Opoku Ware School's Headmaster and Physics team for their warm reception and preparations, sparking enthusiasm among students encountering optical fibres and lasers for the first time.  Eagerly anticipating our next outreach endeavour! #stemeducation #photonics #communityengagement Wilhelmina Jones Photonics Finland ICFOPhotonicsNL

It's great to hear the photonics industry is growing in more places. This kind of exposure can really open students eyes to what possibilities are out there.
