Welcome George Dwapanyin, PhD, MInstP, a new #OpticaAmbassador! George Dwapanyin is a Ghanaian research fellow at the University of St Andrews. In his first year as an #OpticaAmbassador, he aims to connect with other scientists on the African continent to assist in establishing student chapters in different countries. As a planning committee member and speaker at the Optica Amplify Optics Immersion Program, he's served as a mentor for dozens of young African students attending FiO. Before being awarded the Erasmus Mundus scholarship to study in the Europhotonics program, he trained as a nuclear scientist in Radiation Health Physics after working with the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission.
