Learn more about Hostage US and what we do to support families and former captives:
The core of the Hostage US mission is to ensure that families and former captives receive the support they need when they need it. While this support can come in many forms, some of the most tangible resources we provide are described in the articles in our publication, The Journal. In there, we highlight common themes relevant to this often underserved and overlooked group. In honor of Hostage US’s 8th anniversary, we are pleased to share a sampling of these articles, which we hope will bring further insight into the plight of those we serve. We ask you to support this amazing mission with a donation so we can continue to deliver support to those who need it. https://buff.ly/4aux6A1

🏠Our Residential Transitional Housing program provides housing and supports to women and children for up to a year, but the support doesn't end there! 🌈For those who've completed our residential program, the journey continues with the support and guidance of our Aftercare Program. Here's how it works: 🔹 Ongoing Support: Our dedicated outreach worker is there to provide continued guidance and encouragement. 🔹 Connection to Community Resources: Our knowledgeable team is constantly building connections with community resources to best serve the women in our Aftercare program. 🔹 Counseling Services: Access professional support for any ongoing challenges. 🔹 Tangible Supports: Through generous donations from community members, we are able to provide women in our Aftercare program with donated items to help support their new home. This program is evolving to meet the needs of the women and children we support! Consider supporting Marillac Place, as we grow to meet the needs of our community.

Our Big Give #ChristmasChallenge23 starts this time next week. 🥳 Thinking about donating to Family Fund? Please wait until midday Tuesday 28 November when, for just seven days, all donations will be doubled. That’s one donation, TWICE the impact on families raising a disabled or seriously ill child ✌ Ninety-five per cent of parents tell us they want more information and support than they can currently access. With your help, we can offer families a friendly helping hand to gain vital digital skills, understand the financial support that’s available to them and enable them to maximise their income. We can also provide information and support on children’s education and mental health and wellbeing. These are families whose budgets are stretched to breaking by higher costs due to their child’s essential needs, who have to make complex decisions around their child’s care and who are time poor due to extensive caring responsibilities. Your help is needed more than ever. Learn more about making twice the impact this giving season 👉 https://lnkd.in/eGAnUVgU

Generative Culture Champion | Trauma-Informed Executive Coach | Workplace Wellbeing Advocate | When we tap into our innate creative confidence, we can collectively spark a movement that makes the world a better place
I just learned that today is National Single Parent Day - a day dedicated to recognizing the extraordinary efforts of single parents everywhere. I can quite literally think of no more demanding, relentless, all-encompassing experience than single parenting. If you know a single parent, consider giving them some love today (and often). 1 - offer to watch their child 2 - make them a homemade meal 3 - donate to: https://lnkd.in/gtp77Kpx which provides resources to single parents who make too much to qualify for government assistant, but not enough to come close to thriving Single parents, we see you.
