🌟 Sneak Peek Friday: Grateful for ASAM's Recognition in the OpenX for Offroad Project! 🚀 In today's episode of Sneak Peek Fridays, we are thrilled to share some exciting news: Persival has been selected as a service provider for the ASAM e.V. - Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems OpenX for Offroad project! 🎉 We are incredibly grateful to ASAM for this recognition and the opportunity to contribute to such a pioneering initiative. The ASAM OpenX for Offroad project is dedicated to extending the OpenX standards to offroad applications, addressing the unique challenges and requirements of offroad environments like manupulating the environment and driving on soft soil. This project aims to ensure that simulation standards are robust and versatile enough to handle the complexities of offroad scenarios. 🔗 Learn more about the project here: - Official project page: https://lnkd.in/gtJdW352 - Daniel Carruth (Mississippi State University): "Connecting the dots #1: ASAM OpenX standards for offroad applications": https://lnkd.in/ebbPqXKk At Persival, we are committed to driving innovation in perception sensor simulation and model validation. Being part of this project aligns perfectly with our mission to push the boundaries of what’s possible in simulation-based testing for all industry domains. Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting journey with ASAM, and continue to bring you the latest advancements in sensor simulation technology every Friday! #SneakPeekFridays #ASAM #OpenX #Offroad #Innovation #PersivalGmbH #Perception #Sensor #Simulation and #Model #Validation

Check out the Program of the 2024 edition of the European #Hyperloop Week, #EHW2024 🔜 When: 15.07.2024 - 21.07.2024 ➡ Where: Zürich ➡ What: EHW is an annual international event dedicated to the Hyperloop: a future mode of transport. University Hyperloop teams present prototype components and full-scale pods to a panel of judges, competing in several categories. ❓ ❓ Hyperloop ❓❓ ... The concept of travelling through tubes with hardly any air in it, reducing the aerodynamic drag and enabling travel at high speeds, has been around since the early 19th century. 🚀 Proud to Share My Eurobot 2024 Journey! 🚀 I am excited to announce that I participated in Eurobot 2024 in France, representing Tunisia after 9 months of continuous hard work. The competition was held under the theme of "Farming Mars," which gave us a unique and challenging opportunity to push our limits. As the person responsible for the software and communication system of the robot, I had the incredible opportunity to: ✅ Design the entire software architecture from the ground up, connecting many modules using ROS functionalities such as Services, Topics, and Parameters. ✅ Ensure reliable CAN communication between Raspberry Pi 4 and STM32 by using custom encoding and decoding techniques, building a driver code for the STM32 that interfaces with ROS messages, and publishing data from the CAN Bus to the ROS Network. ✅ Develop a greedy algorithm for optimal local decisions, enabling the robot to choose the next task and generate a path in under 1 second. ✅ Create the main state machine as the central node to connect all robot modules and define its behavior. ✅ Build a GUI control application to reduce the robot's launch time. ✅ Implement a simulation tool for testing strategies and software components, helping to cut down on wait time for hardware readiness. This journey was a true test of patience and perseverance, especially with the constraints of a limited budget. Our team proved that despite challenges and obstacles, we could still perform. Some of the biggest challenges we faced included debugging unexpected synchronization problems, module and mechanical failures, and existing bugs under seriously tight deadlines. Overcoming these hurdles taught me a valuable lesson in problem-solving and teamwork. I want to thank every member of my team, as each one of us contributed to this project. Without them, the robot wouldn't be alive. Special thanks to Ahmed Cherif, Ghaith Ben Brahim, Amir Benarbia, Khalil Azzabi, yassine jelassi, MOHAMED AZIZ MAHFOUDHI, Mohamed Dhia Mnasri, Ghassen Hafsia. I also want to thank our sponsors. Without them, we would not have been able to afford the robot expenses or travel to France to participate and represent Tunisia. Thank you to Mawasim Tours Tunisia and Tunisie Telecom for standing by us financially. Without your help, none of this would have been possible. Here is a video that captures some milestones we reached this year.

Drs. Pierfrancesco Agostoni and Carlo Zivelonghi are part of the first who used our AVVIGO™ Multi-Modality Guidance System. They mentioned that #IVUS with AVVIGO™ is ”easy, quick, user-friendly to assess the lesion” and the new system ”is reliable and speeds up the whole process”. Listen to their testimonial. Engineering is also fun
How does a rocket take off? 🚀 What is a Heron's engine? 💨 How was the launch of the Saturn V rocket filmed? 🌙 On Saturday, 9th of September Polish CREADIS team had the opportunity to answer these children's questions during #FutureSTEMHeroes workshops, in which we took part for the second time in a row. Our young participants had a chance to gain knowledge about how a jet engine works - now they know #itsnotrocketscience! 🚀 Thank you, Cisco, for the possibility to show kids that engineering is exciting! We had a blast doing experiments and building jet-powered planes, cars, and rockets! 🎈 Great job Izabela Kaciczak, Bartosz Janusz, Gabriela Hajduk, Maciej Roga and Iwetta Szewczyk 👏 #innovativeenginnering #cultureiskey
