this. is very important. collaboration between Design & Business. Always. #designbusiness #designmanagement
Calling CEOs of companies large and small, starting-up or celebrating centuries in existence, whether in products or services, get a good designer onto your top table and see the difference they make! Don’t just use them to make ‘pretty pictures’. The insights a designer brings can have true lasting business value. Calling designers, understand more about business. Study business and especially finance. Learn to read and understand the financial statements of a company. Investigate what makes them tick. Where the money comes from, and where it goes. How it’s spent, invested, wasted and conserved. It’ll help you get to the top table! #getdesignonthetoptable

Identity design is always a strategic tool for business transformation. ⬇ Transformation is the incremental process of becoming. Every business is at some stage of transformation. An identity partner enters wherever they are and asks "where are you now?", "where do you want to be?", and "how can I help you get there?" At each stage in its growth and development, identity design empowers business (and especially purpose-led business) by helping both the company and the market visualize the truth about what they are, what they do, and what makes them different. This visualization produces trust and connection. Names, logos, colors, shapes, and words, all work together to correctly and consistently represent the truth about the brand, becoming a symbol of, and storage unit for, the collective brand experience. This makes transformational change easier since the foundational truths are locked into a carefully managed identity. There are other more obvious benefits to making good identity design a constant companion to transformational businesses. For example, it's easier to transform into something that you already appear to be. Nowhere is this more important than with impact-driven companies who have the unique challenge of identifying not only their company with its products and services, but the greater stewardship of their mission as well. Let's work together to Identify Good. #IdentityDesign #BusinessTransformation #ImpactDriven #IdentifyGood #MISSION

One of the key reasons we have "happy photos" of people we work together with is taking a "design-thinking" approach towards everything we do. This starts with our pre-sales pursuit to sales to deliver and afterwards. The most crucial element of our success is understanding people and what drives them in their roles (and outside). If we can share this experience through the eyes of differentiated thinking, the importance of design in the enterprise or directly with your end-customers becomes meaningful. Here is a brilliant read on why Design is so essential in all that we do (and what you should do too) . Annah-Tiffany Leigh Yukta Joshi 🧤

As someone who's led design teams both agency and client-side I often get asked two things - how do they differ and what can client-side design teams gain from using an agency? I’ve gained a unique perspective on the dynamics between in-house teams and external agencies. There are obviously many benefits of in-house teams - cost, quicker delivery, ownership, great talent and people, and a deep understanding of your brand, products and market. Plus, it’s a real testament to the growing importance of design in business strategy that organisations are increasingly willing to invest in internal teams. But there are also invaluable role agencies can play in this landscape. From my experience, agencies can bring fresh perspectives, specialised skills, and the flexibility to complement internal teams in various ways: 🌟 Support on specialist projects where in-house knowledge maybe lacking 🎯 Bringing a more holistic outside-in view to projects and strategy 📈 Up-skilling/training existing teams in new skillsets or disciplines 🔄 Helping fill the gaps in teams and recruitment through staff augmentation By leveraging the best of both worlds you can achieve your goals efficiently. Agencies can provide added value by augmenting teams with specialist talent you don’t have in-house, offering an outside-in perspective, accelerate skill development and growth, and introducing diverse viewpoints. It’s win-win! 💡 #DesignCollaboration #designInsights #InnovationInDesign

Founder & Chief Experience Officer | High-Quality, High-Impact Experiences | Business of design & the design of business
So many large consulting owned design agencies today are design in name only. Recognise these traits? - Less than 5% of a large programme budget assigned to design by sales folk - Primarily tech led sales conversations - Bodyshopping individual designers without any regard - Spend for R&D and collaboration cut whilst internal targets increased - Inconsistent rewarding and recognition between design and consulting skill sets - Reliance on historic project case studies and overhyped subpar current work - A revolving door of senior execs and design leaders who aren’t empowered to make impact It’s not conducive to great work for clients, or a great culture for designers. What did I miss? #design #designforimpact #agencies

Not every experience needs a fully executed design, but there are crucial points in a company's interactions with customers that can significantly impact their behaviors and opinions. To minimize business risks, it's essential to take control of these moments by deliberately designing the experience and ensuring that staff are trained and equipped to consistently deliver it. #servicedesign #customerexperience #serviceexcellence
