Airplanes, skylarks, and solar power for 10,000 households: The Lärz/Rechlin solar park demonstrates how nature and solar energy generation can not only coexist but actually benefit from each other. One kilometer of the Müritz airfield is utilized for the solar park. This kilometer of meadow is home to skylarks, among other species. In collaboration with the environmental agency and our partner RheinEnergie AG, we planned the spacing of the solar modules to ensure the animals have enough room to breed and find shelter from the sun and rain in the shade of the panels. 🔋 A highlight of this project is the integration of a battery storage system from energy storage provider INTILION, with a capacity of 7 MWh. This ensures that the electricity generated is available even when solar radiation is low or at night.
