Taco Bell fans, rejoice! One of the most highly anticipated collaborations is finally getting a nationwide release. Two years ago, Taco Bell and Cheez-It introduced two innovative menu items featuring a massive cheese cracker. It's 16 times larger than the regular size. Starting June 6, these popular items will be available nationwide for a limited time.
The “Big Cheez-It Tostada” and “Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme” are joining US menus after receiving an overwhelmingly positive response during their trial run. Taco Bell announced that these Cheez-It creations have brought something new and exciting to the table.
These collaborations often boost publicity for both brands, extending their reach. This release comes at a time when consumers are cutting back on spending.
The “Big Cheez-It Tostada” is priced at $3.99 and features ground beef, reduced fat sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheddar cheese on a giant Cheez-It cracker. The “Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme,” priced at $5.49, swaps the internal tostada shell for a giant Cheez-It and includes nacho cheese sauce instead of shredded cheese.
Despite a general slowdown in consumer spending, especially among lower-income diners, Taco Bell has shown resilience. In Yum Brands recent earnings report, Taco Bell’s same store sales grew by 2% in the first quarter, making it a standout performer.
