Today, on World Down Syndrome Day, let's take a moment to celebrate the beauty and uniqueness of individuals with Down syndrome. It's time to spread awareness, promote inclusion, and advocate for their rights. Together, let's work towards creating a world that is more inclusive and equitable for all. Let's embrace acceptance and diversity, and strive for equality for all. Love knows no bounds and we should celebrate our differences. Empowerment comes from spreading love and awareness, and advocating for those who need it the most. Let's remember that individuals with Down syndrome are different, but not less. Unity in diversity is what makes our world a beautiful place. Together, we can create a society that values and respects every individual, regardless of their abilities. Let's stand together and spread the message of love, acceptance, and inclusion. Join me in spreading awareness and advocating for the rights of individuals with Down syndrome. #WorldDownSyndromeDay #InclusionMatters #Acceptance #Diversity #EqualityForAll #LoveWithoutLimits #CelebrateDifferences #Empowerment #SpreadLove #Awareness #Advocacy #DownSyndromeAwareness #DifferentNotLess #UnityInDiversity #TogetherWeCan

CEO & Co-Founder at HealthHive, PBC | Board Member, American Society on Aging | Portfolia Investor | AARP AgeTech Collaborative | Techstars Future of Longevity
Tomorrow is #AgeismAwarenessDay. I recently joined the board of the American Society on Aging because of its advocacy for a society that respects and supports inclusion. As the organization approaches its 70th Anniversary, its membership's knowledge, legacy, and learnings must be more broadly integrated into the #agetech market. In my world, technology is a tool to support people, processes, and care. Fortunately, however, viewed with an integrated clinical and social care lens, "trusted relationships" will remain at its core. As I learned, the experience and perspective of ASA members (who have many of those relationships) are invaluable to understanding and addressing market needs. #socialimpact #communityhealth #agingincommunity #patientchoice #healthtech #coordinatedcare #SDOH

Tomorrow is #AgeismAwarenessDay. The World Health Organization defines ageism as “the stereotypes (how we think), prejudice (how we feel) and discrimination (how we act) towards others or oneself based on age”. At Age Well, we are committed to serving older Vermonters, their families and caregivers regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, race, religion, education, or financial status. We believe that demonstrating inclusiveness creates a healthy, positive, and collaborative community, and we as an organization must help combat this widespread form of prejudice. Learn more about the importance of advancing equity and racial justice in Vermont from Xusana Davis, the Executive Director of Racial Equity for the State of Vermont, who we featured on our show “Aging Matters”: https://lnkd.in/e-VDZET2

The next video in our What It Is & Why It Matters series is about Misogyny and Transmisogyny. Defining terms is the first step to having meaningful conversations. These conversations are an important step forward, especially when paired with action. Our collective goal is to foster equity, inclusion, and justice for all members of the trans community—in the United States and worldwide. #inclusiveculturestrategy
