Since taking on my role last July, I have been working on the expansion of Tiso Group’s second-hand scheme, Worn But Not Worn Out. Why does this matter?
🔄 Circular business models, such as second-hand, are crucial in today's world. According to WRAP, 956,000 tonnes of clothing is discarded annually in the UK. Resale is one solution to extend product life, maximise use and reduce waste.
🚀 The potential for #circularity is immense. With a growing demand for repair, rental and resale, the market is ripe for innovation. The Ellen MacArthur Foundation estimates that these business models could capture 23% of the global fashion market by 2030.
🤝 These solutions can be an opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment as well as our local communities. Tiso is proud to have donated the proceeds from the scheme to Tayside Mountain Rescue to support their life-saving work.
