This was a really interesting article. Store performance and underperformance 📉 When a store misses its targets, it's a bummer for everyone. KPI targets and budgets will struggle to be met, teams will be stretched. The beginning of the spiral, as teams begin to lose their moral, the turnover of team will increase hitting the bottom line harder each time. A spiralling state that’s hard to get out of if you don’t work to avoid it😕 Tackling, hard, fast and strategically to focus on the long term solutions is the way to go.

Food for thought .... In the fast-paced world of retail, every team member's performance is crucial to the overall success of the store. When individuals fail to meet expectations or frequently call in sick, it doesn't just affect their own productivity—it hampers the entire team's ability to function effectively. Non-performers in a retail environment create significant challenges. Retail relies heavily on teamwork and coordination to ensure that shelves are stocked, customers are assisted, and sales targets are met. When someone consistently underperforms or is often absent, their workload falls on their colleagues. This can lead to increased stress, lower morale, and a decline in overall efficiency. Imagine a scenario where a cashier doesn't show up for their shift. Other employees have to cover for them, leading to longer lines, frustrated customers, and potentially lost sales. Similarly, if a stock associate frequently calls in sick, shelves may not be replenished on time, resulting in an unorganized store and disappointed shoppers who can't find what they need. It's essential for each team member to understand their role and the impact of their performance. Reliable attendance and consistent effort contribute to a positive work environment and ensure that the store runs smoothly. Management must address non-performance promptly and fairly, providing support and resources to help struggling employees improve while maintaining high standards for the team. In retail, every role is interconnected. When one person doesn't pull their weight, it hampers the entire team's ability to succeed. Ensuring that everyone performs to their best ability isn't just important—it's critical for the health and success of the whole store.

Challenging Our Daily Routines for Better Retail I've recently been reflecting on the importance of shaking up our daily routines in the retail world. It's fascinating how small changes can lead to significant improvements. For example, have you ever noticed how optimizing a supply chain process or tweaking customer service can make a big difference? These adjustments don't have to be monumental—they just need to be thoughtful and continuous. I've seen firsthand how encouraging our teams to think outside the box and question the status quo leads to innovation and growth. It's about building a culture where everyone feels empowered to suggest and are open to improvements and accept newer things. So, I invite you to look at your daily routines. What small changes can you make today that might lead to big positive outcomes tomorrow? #Retail #Changes #Mindset #store #disruption #rethinking

💁: Why do we need to monitor the operations? 💁♀️: Why do we need to have visibility on our operations? 🤵♂️: Why do we need to prioritize it? Those are questions we often get from most of our customers. Over the past few years, we noticed that many companies and C-Level executives view operational visibility as a "NICE" thing to have; they don't see it as a priority before meeting Nimbly. But that changes, when we tell them the reasons why it is important. You might have the same thoughts as they do, and it's normal! But that doesn't mean that you can ignore it without understanding the REAL reasons why visibility is important. Here are a few things that you can spot and improve from having real-time visibility: - Inconsistent service between stores A and B - Hard to have the right number of staff - Can’t catch up with demands So, how does Nimbly help businesses with Operational Visibility? 👇 #operationalexcellence #retail #operationalexcellence #operations #visibility #retail #restaurants #NimblyTechnologies
