Just so we’re clear: Friendly fraud = a customer (cardholder) made a purchase and is now disputing it. True fraud = a transaction made using stolen card information. True fraud can be easily prevented with the right measures and a bit of machine learning. On the other hand, friendly fraud is difficult to prevent and requires a lot more effort to handle.
