This is not just a competition; it's a chance to change lives together. 💪 Two teams, Team Stride and Team Pacer, are in an intense battle to raise funds like never before. ⚔️ The challenge is on: each team must cover a staggering 300km during the month (that's 15km per person per week). You can choose your weapon of choice whether it's walking, running, cycling, rowing, or swimming just get those kilometres clocking in! 🏃 But here's the real kicker: the winning team will bask in the glory of their achievement, while the losing team will show their true generosity by donating extra money to the cause! To keep things organized, we'll have separate Just Giving pages to ensure each team's funds are properly tracked and accounted for. 🤑 The action starts in August with fundraising efforts, but the adrenaline-pumping kilometre challenge will officially kick off in September. All money raised goes to bigmoose ➡️https://lnkd.in/eGCDBrtK Starting run 45 on a wet and windy day 🌧️in August, this time last year I was jumping in the sea 🏊 after the run. This week’s tip is: 💡ANTICIPATE THE NEGATIVE MENTAL CHATTER💡 Even though I’ve done 45 of these half #marathons now, the same voices go off in my head before I do it: ‘It’s going to be hard’, ‘you might not make it’, ‘something might happen’, ‘you’re tired’. The amount of time they take control of my head has significantly reduced throughout this #challenge. For me, the main thing is that I know it’s going to happen every time before I go for the run, but I just say to myself to ignore it and get on with it. Once you get going, you’re on your way, it’ll get done and the negative mental chatter hasn’t stopped me from #achieving something.
