Between the shelves full of groceries and collis, he began to think about something special - how to grab and move these objects efficiently. As he stood in front of a shelf with an employee, he suddenly realised that the arm movements in efficient robot logistics must complement each other like those of a human. It was almost as if he could imagine two adults standing in front of a shelf and performing aerobic exercises in synchronisation - a vision of harmony and efficiency. With passion and vision, the Kolliwaver team immediately set to work. They worked day and night on a prototype that would embody the essence of this idea. Years of intensive research, countless setbacks and tireless determination went into the development of the KolliKrake. Today it stands there - the KolliKrake - as a symbol of innovation and progress in warehouse logistics. But it is more than just a machine; it is the result of a dream come true. Lyko levels up in Vansbro – and creates many new jobs Beauty company LYKO is investing close to half a billion SEK in the new central warehouse in Vansbro kommun. The company is doubling the size of its warehouse automation, which means many new jobs according to Rickard Lyko, CEO. The new facility will be twice the size of the current one and optimized for handling beauty products. It has a fully automated packing process, to ensure efficient handling and delivery flows. The new facility is to be operational in autumn 2025 and when in place, Lyko will have the capacity to handle 100,000 orders per day. Current capacity is between 30,000-40,000 orders per day. The size of the investment is 43 million euros, i.e. close MSEK 500. It is a big investment for the company and it is important to have a long-term strategy and perspective on investments, where timing is key explains Rickard Lyko. - This is a huge investment in Vansbro municipality, which is great fun.
