If your organisation hasn't yet pledged to offer internships via The 10,000 Interns Foundation - I'd like to ask why not? Access to opportunities and representation continues to be critical. Firms, companies and organisations have until Friday 20 October 2023 to sign up to offering internships via the 10,000 Black Interns programme. Having played a key role in launching the programme for one of my legal clients Taylor Wessing UK in 2022, I know first-hand how this programme has continued to attract, empower and also retain talented professionals in the early stages of their career. Over the last couple of years, I've also had the chance to get to know many of the organising and inspiring team at The 10,000 Interns Foundation including Julie Quist-Therson LLM Dip Trans. | Nana Campbell and Rebecca Achieng Ajulu-Bushell. Every, yes every, single conversation I have had with them and during the professional development sessions I ran for their team and their applicants has been inspiring. The 10,000 Interns Foundation is making a true impact. The 10,000 Interns Foundation collaborates with employers across so many different sectors and industries. The 10,000 Interns Foundation is helping organisations and managers to access talent from diverse backgrounds. The 10,000 Interns Foundation is helping individuals build their careers, skills and experience at vital points in their early careers. The The 10,000 Interns programmes, whether it's 10,000 Able Interns or 10,000 Black Interns are literally life-changing for individuals. I am so proud to see many of my Collective Insight client organisations participating in the programmes organised by the 10,000 Interns Foundation. Learn more below and although I don't like to promote FOMO (fear of missing out), I encourage you to flag to your HR, graduate or diversity and inclusion team if you don't think your organisation is already a part of this change driven by the 10,000 Interns Foundation.
We don't want to alarm you… But there are FIVE DAYS LEFT for companies to join our programmes and pledge to hire interns! It’s so easy to build a diverse talent pool through 10,000 Black Interns and 10,000 Able Interns. Don’t just take our word for it – have a read of Imperial College London’s experience with our 10,000 Black Interns programme. If you are new to the profession - and starting a summer internship - you are more tuned into the business press. Two weeks ago, the world saw rate cuts in the US as a 2025 affair. Fast forward to today - and with a bit more data – the world sees at least some cuts in 2024. Feel like conventional wisdom is a puppy chasing a forecasting ball around the yard? Therein lies the advantage of attending our June Macro Summit for Summer Interns. Establish an intellectual framework early in your career. Let the rest of the investment profession chase frisbees.

Highlighting essential insights from the National Association of Colleges and Employers: Creating an inclusive culture is key to retaining women in tech internships. Support and understanding from supervisors for underrepresented groups make all the difference. A must-read for organizations looking to foster diversity and growth. #InclusiveCulture #DiversityInTech #Nethubb
Employers who hope to retain women they recruit for computer science-related internships must develop an inclusive workplace culture and ensure that interns are coupled with supervisors who are sensitive to the issues of underrepresented minorities and can offer constructive feedback and support. https://ow.ly/qNoi50QJoXe

I am so incredibly proud of my team from this summer’s internship who produced this piece on financial literacy for Gen Z written by Gen Z. Please read their research and unique insight into how investment and wealth managers can better educate their generation #finacialliteracy #GenZ
Excited to release the second Opinion Snapshot from our summer 2023 interns. All of our research is written through the eyes of our first generation Gen Z interns - but this vertical - on financial education - is particularly relevant to investment and wealth managers, as it is first hand insight on how to reach this group. We are very grateful to our two mentors, Emily Pachuta, who has deep experience at BlackRock and Invesco US at the intersection of data and marketing/demand creation, and Shamim I. of BlackRock, who became our first intern (class of 2020) to become a mentor. Great job by Rhyme Z. of Hamilton College, Santiago Molina of Providence College, Anthony Toumazatos of Davidson College, Amira T. of Providence College and Debora Arteaga of University of Richmond. As a reminder, Sapere Aude Consortium, Inc.‘s purpose is to do our share to increase economic diversity in investment and wealth management. But, our mission to achieve this - is to help these juniors better access paid, rising senior internships. Please reach out to them directly or to us if you would like to discuss their research or an internship opportunity.
