For me, the key point here, as always in PR and comms, is about audiences. The reality is that anyone who was inclined to vote Labour before this news broke, will continue to do so. The same applies to intended voters for Lib Dem’s, Reform, Greens, SNP and independents. The first job of any political campaign is to keep hold of your base, and then go after the swing voters. And there’s the problem. Given that the traditional Conservative voter tends to be older, and let’s say more ‘patriotic’, this will hurt his base at a time where he needs to be trying to turn the dial up, not down. Having known people that have worked for CCO on many campaigns, they are generally regarded as very smart people, with a robust approach to message management. Sadly, the same cannot be said for the current team, and they will be punished for it.

The Patriotpreneur | Buying & Investing In $1M-$20M Revenue Businesses | Investor & Executive Mentor | Helping Business Owners Exit Their Business Into Freedom | Ask Me HOW
****How do people come out of Congress millionaires?**** How do national politicians get so rich? They're well compensated for their "service" to their constituents in the form of a six-figure salary, generous benefits, and a full-time staff to serve their every need. But that compensation isn't enough to amass the vast fortunes many of our "leaders" in Washington accumulate. It's true that some have started successful businesses. But most haven't. So, what explains their wealth? Career politicians like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer spend their entire lives in Washington cozying up to the rich and famous. These connections are often lucrative, and they result in valuable kickbacks, perks, and benefits. Multiply those kickbacks by 40 or 50 years in Washington, and you start to talk about serious wealth. This corruption is exactly why we need term limits. #legionofpatriots for #thecause

We welcome the Liberal Democrats’ commitment to reform fiduciary duty and company purpose rules. To make this a reality, we need to directly empower businesses of all sizes to make decisions for the long-term. B Lab UK and the Better Business Act, a coalition of almost 3,000 organisations, are calling for the next government to amend Section 172 of the Companies Act 2006 to do just that. The change would ensure that people and the planet are on a more equal footing with company profits and shareholder interests. We hope to work with all parties committed to making sure British business is fit for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. https://lnkd.in/eYy8k_Qv

This is part 2 of former Labor Secretary Robert Reich's series on American capitalism, using #SystemsThinking to understand the #PoliticalEconomy. "MARKETS DEPEND for their very existence on rules governing property (what can be owned), monopoly (what degree of market power is permissible), contracts (what can be exchanged and under what terms), bankruptcy (what happens when purchasers can’t pay up), labor unions (how much power should workers have), and how all of this is enforced." Here's one they should've binned earlier - 'Things Can Only Get Better'. I've always thought Steve Bray was an arse. But I didn't realise just what a catastrophic arse he was until I heard it was he who played 'Things Can Only Get Better' while Rishi Sunak made his wet general election announcement in front of Downing Street. It was almost as if Bray thought to himself what move he could make that would alienate as many working-class voters form voting Labour. Then he had a brainwave. No wonder the People's Vote campaign lost. With friends like these eh...? I know Linkedin should be used for higher things than thrashing pop songs from the 1990s but....I can't bare it any longer. I loath 1990s nostalgia. I loathe Oasis (a crap band who produced one and a half good albums, and now ChatGPT can come up with a semi-decent Oasis album, which says something). But above all I loathe 'Things Can Only Get Better' and New Labour nostalgia more than anything on god's green earth. First things first TCOGB is a crap song. A crap song for a crap government. A lame, pound shop rip off of 'All Together Now'. Nothing embodied the hollow failure of New Labour like Brian Cox, the handsome scientist, keyboarding his way through a bland, underwritten, overproduced piece of FM Radio piss. But overall it's the smugness of the song I loathe. I loathe the high-minded sense of superiority that suggests the 'third way' would make everything better. Really? within 10 years of 1997, the housing market would be so rigged that getting on the property ladder would be a distant dream for anyone under 30. So much for a young country eh, Mr Blair? The Dome. PFI. Indeterminate sentences. Drug failure. Voting reform failure. academies. No council homes. Cash for honours. Civil liberties. Rising inequality. The nation's sweetheart Yvette Cooper introducing humiliating 'conditions' for disability benefit, you'll find no reference to any of these among those nostalgic for New Labour. 'Things Can Only Get Better'? hardly. Things can only get worse more like...and we haven't even got onto the vast flexible workforce Tesco's could exploit (or the wars) yet... Nostalgia for New Labour is the preserve of the privileged and the wealthy. The same people who cashed in on the equity for 10, 15 20 years and told me I was a Nazi son of Charles Manson for supporting mild social democracy. Do me a favour. Good for D: Ream for banning the Labour Party from using it. As Blue Peter might have said in a different context, here's one they should have binned earlier... #Generalelection24 #UnitedKingdom #election24 #Britain #NewLabour #Thingscanonlygetbetter #Labour #Tories

Title: Rethinking America’s Future: Authentic Leadership and the Role of Government In today’s political landscape, the concept of freedom is at the forefront of discussions. But what does it truly mean to be free in America? It’s not just about individual liberties; it’s about electing leaders who prioritize the needs of the people and govern with authenticity, honesty, and trustworthiness. Both parties often resort to appealing to emotions rather than focusing on substantive issues. This approach leads to the election of elites who lack a deep understanding of the history of law and governance. These individuals may excel at rhetoric, but they often fall short when it comes to crafting effective legislation that truly serves the people. It’s essential to recognize that the purpose of lawmaking is not for the government to simply take care of its citizens. Rather, it’s about creating a framework that fosters the common good and empowers individuals to thrive. True freedom is not achieved through overreaching government control, but through policies that enable individuals to pursue their aspirations while upholding the collective welfare. As we envision the future of America, let’s prioritize electing candidates who embody authenticity, honesty, and trustworthiness. Let’s demand leaders who are deeply rooted in the principles of law and governance, and who are committed to serving the best interests of the people they represent. Your voice matters in shaping the future of our nation. That’s why I urge you to consider supporting Marla Fernandez as a write-in candidate for Colorado State Legislature House District 3. As an unaffiliated candidate, Marla brings a fresh perspective and a dedication to genuine leadership. With your support, we can break free from partisan politics and pave the way for a brighter future together. Together, let’s make our voices heard and choose leaders who will truly serve the people. Write in Marla Fernandez this November for a stronger, more prosperous America.
