In a climate of reduced budgets and an ageing population, how can the NHS do more with less? We’ve carried out research into one of the most pressing challenges facing the NHS and its partners - how can patients manage long-term health conditions following diagnosis of a chronic and life-changing condition? In the current context of constrained budgets and a growing elderly population, providing adequate support to patients at the time of such a diagnosis could maximize the impact of NHS budgets and stretch resources further. We’ve compiled a summary of our findings, which includes: - Insightful films featuring real patients' perspectives. - Access to the full report. - Understanding the four essential elements that individuals require while navigating a new condition. New research finds that increasing patient-provider conversations and patient activation can significantly improve kidney health outcomes for high-risk patients. The research concludes that intervening early to encourage more frequent conversations and support patient activation could significantly improve kidney health outcomes and reduce costs. https://bit.ly/3RMuDJQ #RenalogicSolutions #IndustryNews #RenalogicCares

This recent study investigated the significant impact of #HeartFailure (HF) on the elderly population in Italy. Comparing HF patients with a non-HF group, uncovers crucial findings: HF patients experienced higher rates of comorbidities, frequent hospitalizations, and elevated mortality rates. Moreover, the annual healthcare costs associated with HF were notably higher, primarily due to prolonged hospital stays. These findings highlight the immense clinical and economic burden imposed by HF, underscoring the urgent need for effective management strategies. It's imperative to implement comprehensive approaches to mitigate HF's impact on both patients and the healthcare system. #HeartFailure #HealthcareResearch #HealthcareManagement #ElderlyCare #ItalyHealthcare | https://ow.ly/askC50RuQj2

It was great to attend the The Times #HealthSummit today to see the launch of the Commission's report and to hear from an impressive array of speakers. The report sets out 10 key recommendations to transform health and care, from harnessing the power of #roboticassistedsurgery and HIT lists to improve patient care and increase NHS productivity, through to the expansion of public health interventions to tackle the unsustainable rise in the numbers of people living with obesity. As ever, the proof will be in delivery and its now up to political, NHS and local leaders to implement the report's recommendations. https://lnkd.in/dkdXGHp5
