🚨 Spotted a Job Title Mix-Up! 🚨 Hey Oracle, I think you meant #Data_Center_Technician, not #Data_Engineer! Unless "racking and stacking" now involves data pipelines and SQL queries. 😂 Hardware enthusiasts, this one's for you! Check out the posting if you love servers and cable management. The title "Data Engineer" typically refers to roles focused on data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehousing, and related tasks. Based on the responsibilities and skills you've provided, the role described seems more aligned with physical infrastructure and hardware maintenance rather than the core responsibilities of a traditional data engineering role. fyi - Rashika B.S #JobTitlesMatter #TechHumor #OracleCareers

DBA or DBRE, what's in a name? 🤷 As open source database specialists, we believe that while a Database Administrator and Database Reliability Engineer may have different titles, they share the same mission: ensuring a top-notch database environment. 👌 While a DBA focuses on the reliability and efficiency of the database itself, a DBRE takes a broader view, considering the role and integration of the database within the larger IT ecosystem. A complimentary team, that’s for sure. 🤝 At Zebanza, we have both skills in-house. Whatever you need as a customer, we will always ship in the right experts for the job! #DBRE #DBA #database

🎁IT Leaders - Here is a present for you. ❗The 6 things i find wrong in almost EVERY database environment I'm brought in for tuning. Hopefully you can fix these things in your environment, so they don't bother you during summer vacations #1 - Maintenance jobs are nonexisistant, inconsistent, not set up properly, and lack alerting #2- Security practices are not being followed #3- Excess use of SQL Cores, usually to mask poor performance. WARNING THIS IS EXPENSIVE #4- Lack of monitoring tools. A good DB diagnostic tool can turn a junior DBA into a mid/expert DBA almost by itself, and often pays for itself in the first month or two of using it. #5- Indexes not being tuned (very common with 0 dbas in house) #6- Poorly written queries. Review this with your team, and if you need a hand with any of it, come back here and DM me.
