Today marks the end of Pride Month, a time were we celebrate the LGBTQ community and commemorate the movement for equal rights. But by no means does the end of June mean an end to our support for the community and movement. Panasonic Connect is committed to helping foster awareness, ensuring inclusive workplaces, and striving to help create a society where everyone can feel comfortable and safe to be themselves.

Olympic and Paralympic Games flashback: Rio 2016 The first ever Olympic and Paralympic Games staged on the South American continent were Rio 2016. As part of our Pride Month activities our company took part in a cross-company event in Tokyo to promote understanding of LGBTQ related issues organized by the Rainbow Business Network. The session kicked off with a talk session with EY Japan's CEO Moriaki Kida, followed by a personal story from a transgender employee of freee.k.k., then small group discussions amongst the participants. Approximately 120 people from 75 companies participated in the event, learning from the speakers and each other, deepening ties and everyone's commitment to be an ally.

Olympic flashback: London 2012 Do you remember this? For the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games London 2012, the world's smallest and lightest 20,000lm projector (PT-DZ21K/DS20K) at the time was installed in the Olympic Stadium. With this model, we achieved quality improvements, such as the size – the world's smallest and leanest at the time; halved the power consumption, noise during operation, and running costs and doubled the life expectancy of the projector lamp.
