This week we celebrate HEST's 5th Year Anniversary and the launch of HEST.com. Over the past 3 years I've had the privilege to work with some of the most intelligent people in the #outdoorindustry and be a small part to this 🚀 brand. We've experienced tremendous growth in our direct-to-consumer (#DTC) channel, a vital lifeline for any high-growth company. Here's a snapshot of our journey so far to date: 📈 Key Takeaways: Explosive 🚀 Growth: Our May orders in the last 4 years have 100X since our first May 2020. Last month, we hit a company monthly record with the number of pillows and mattresses that left our warehouse. Strategic Focus: DTC remains our most critical channel, not only because it's the best margin but it also let's us connect directly with our customers, understand their needs, and deliver unparalleled value. Relentless Effort: This growth isn't accidental. It results from endless nights over the last 3 years, staying ahead with innovative trends, and a team working tirelessly to make our online presence strong and competitive. At HEST, we believe in the power of direct engagement with our customers. This growth not only demonstrates our success but also sets the stage for future expansion. I’m a couple of weeks behind on this after taking a bit of time off, but learned a ton at ClubVMSA’s VisionWest and it was great to connect with so many fun, smart experts in our little industry. It’s always refreshing and energizing to spend time with folks who spend so much time thinking about the same things we do at HireArt. A few quick things that ended up top of mind as I left: 1. I thought Dawn Keeley, C.P.M., CCWP, David Gershman, and Julia Braun's roundtable was one of the standout discussions. The topic was "The Journey from Gen1 to MSP/VMS", but the meta conversation about the challenges internal Contingent Workforce teams sometimes run into creating organizational buy-in and motivating change was particularly insightful and interesting. Learned enough in those 45 minutes alone to justify the sticker price. More companies should give Contingent Workforce a seat at the table. 2. It’s (still) very clear that there’s a segment of companies — broadly the mid-market— that feels underserved by the traditional MSP/VMS stack. Very much appreciate Kobie Wagener, MSOD, SHRM-CP joining Nick Sedlet and I for that discussion. Turnout was amazing, and always reassuring to hear the market confirming some of our core hypotheses in real-time. Shoutout to Angela Westhead, CCWP and Arash Rad for their contributions, and Lisa Wayne, CCWP for speaking up for MSPs. Loved the discussion and came away more energized than ever to solve things for that segment of the market HireArt. 3. When you get 100 folks in the contingent workforce together, your bartender is gonna get a workout, it turns out. The bartender at The Ritz Half Moon Bay was the conference’s MVP. Hope we all tipped well. Looking forward to Miami Beach in February. Thanks to Jeannine Parise and Jim Coughlin for a great event. 

🌟 What can we do for you? 🌟 We ask our teams at kenbi this question regularly. I love hearing the answers because it dives deep into understanding what truly motivates individuals. It opens the door for everyone to share their thoughts and experiences, emphasizing that we care, are ready to take action, and are committed to delivering on our promises. It also gives us the chance to explain why changes we wanted to make might not be possible, which obviously also can happen. But having that empathetic, human exchange creates understanding, manages expectations and simply drives happiness among everyone. What I am most excited about is when we get to roll out results towards those needs and wants. Our last big push for “wish day” was right after the merger and these were the top answers: Fair pay ✅ We transferred to our pay system incl extra benefits Uniforms and branding ✅ We ordered a new super colorful batch for all and rolled it out to cars and hubs Parties ✅ We had hub Christmas parties immediately and just had our biggest summer party to date! Togetherness ✅ We launched a newsletter reporting about all hub happenings, hold regular all hands and travel to see each other. We delivered 💯and that makes me so happy!! ☕ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐄𝐎 𝐂𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 ☕ With the company growing, I am working less individually with each team member, and I want to make sure I spend enough time knowing everyone, and understanding how their life at Stockly can be improved, as well as their impact. That’s why I’ve implemented 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐄𝐎 𝐜𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 ☕ It’s a 20min face-to-face coffee (glass of water for me actually…) with another team member each week, on Wednesdays just after lunch. It’s a quite informal and chill discussion. 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 👇 The team member has a reminder before the meeting to think about the main topics that I’d like to discuss with them: - how is going your daily life at Stockly? - is there anything that surprised you when you joined, or that you could imagine doing differently? - ideas of improvements (organization, product, processes...)? It is also a good moment for them to ask me any question about the company's strategy, vision, goals, organization, etc. I’m very happy with this process: it allows me to connect with new joiners I may not work with on a daily basis, and many great ideas came out of these meetings. Happy to hear if you have recommendations about how to improve this or if you have similar things in your companies!

Its the most wonderful time, of the year..... or is it? "silly season" is upon us. Nobody is around, at least not as much as usual. #Suppliers cant be reached. #Team #capacity is down by a billion %. Pressures mounting around those #milestones you planned for before knowing everyones summer VayCay arrangements... So what now? well. DONT PANIC! job 1. Now were not panicking, lets get a refresh on those plans. 👉 What is your #reality? 👉 Who is left on the pitch? 👉 How about your supplier/#partner availability? 👉 Will #onboarding slow down? 👉 Can you swap order of #deliverables based on the above answers? Ultimately you can only do so much. But right now is where you earn your "I know how to #prioritise ruthlessly" badge!! be #transparent with your Board/Exec Team/Peers/Team members... bring everyone along on the journey and #deliver together, confident of #support and knowledge from those that don't like surprises!
