This movie production that I just completed was a complex process that involved a multitude of creative and logistical elements coming together to bring the story to life on screen. I was solely involved in the initial concept and scriptwriting stages. I had to think of a production design that would create the film's aesthetic world while worrying about the best costume to better represent a secretary to the governor of a whole state. The makeup also has to be on point for the calibre of the person; therefore, I became the makeup artist to bring the character to life. The next phase was filming, editing, and distribution all over social platforms. Every step requires careful planning, coordination, and execution.
Producers normally oversee the production process, securing financing, hiring key personnel, and managing budgets and schedules. Directors work closely with actors and crew members to realise their vision, while cinematographers capture the visual essence of the story through lighting, framing, and camera movement. Sound engineers ensure that dialogue, music, and effects blend seamlessly to enhance the viewer's experience. Post-production teams meticulously edit footage, add visual effects, and fine-tune sound to achieve the desired cinematic effect. I delivered all of these roles because of the level of skill set I have developed over time, and I still shared and uploaded the final version of the film on social media platforms. All the steps are time-consuming, however, the fun and the essence of the message I wanted to pass across to my audience kept me going.
Ultimately, I agree that movie production is a labour of love that requires the collective effort of talented individuals if possible and, where not, the effort of an individual like me dedicated to storytelling through filmmaking.
