🏈 It is time for the NFL Draft, a thrilling spectacle that generates over $200 million! 🔗Check out the newest deep dive: https://lnkd.in/dhbDqRWV The NFL has mastered the art of year-round entertainment, captivating fans even during its long offseason, with the NFL Draft as its highlight. It showcases Football's enduring appeal and revenue potential, even when no games are played: ⚡ 300'000 fans and $200m in economic impact expected in Detroit across 3 days ⚡ 11m viewers expected to tune in for the first round of the draft, on par with NBA finals and Masters ratings ⚡ 54m unduplicated viewers will tune in from April 25-27 Scouting Combine, Free Agency, Draft, Training Camp, Pre-Season, Season Opener; at every point in the year the NFL gives its fans something to anticipate and talk about. Other sports properties should take note of how the NFL manages to consistently stay relevant and monetize that attention. With the increased economic value the NFL Draft generates for a host city, I would not be shocked if the NFL found a way to leverage that power and open up additional revenue streams.💰 For more details, check out the full piece and enjoy the read! (incl. how the draft process is technically illegal under U.S. antitrust laws)😄 Thanks for your support and stay tuned for more 🙌 #nfl #nfldraft #football #sportbusiness #sport #collegefootball

Ten years... today... since the demolition of the #Metrodome. All we heard was the Vikings needed a new stadium... and if we built a new stadium... the Vikings would be a better team. (Price is right loser horn.) SKOL. :| If there is a silver lining, the Metrodome's collapse in 2020 is the reason why we now have Thursday Night Football. The makeup game against the New York Giants was scheduled for Thursday so as not to conflict with other TV commitments but to stay within the NFL's rules. The game did so well... the NFL decided to add Thursday Night Football to the lineup of media properties that the networks could bid. So now we have the regular Sunday games, Saturday games once NCAA football ends, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, and Thursday Night Football. That's 25% more football baby! But in any event... today was the day... ten years ago. US Bank Stadium is pretty impressive, I do miss the Metrodome. The MET was torn down to build Megamall. The Metrodome for the Bank. I guess we'll have to see what comes next. The Vikes still suck... and clearly... it's the stadium baby. Not the fact they apparently believe players get better with age and that you must trade at least 92 first-round draft picks for washed-up players when trying to rebuild your team.

Fantasy 🏈 Community & Resources for Winners who want to outsmart their friends and dominate their leagues!
"What's ONE thing you wish the average fan knew that they probably don't?" "We're normal people too. We're just good at football." I have to admit I felt a great deal of sadness when I heard this answer from Lane Taylor—a former Offensive Lineman for the Green Bay Packers who spent 8 seasons protecting future Hall-of-Famer Aaron Rodgers. 😥 Guys, being an NFL fan is fun. Fantasy football is fun. Winning DFS contests and NFL bets is fun. But, unfortunately for some people, there's a very, VERY ugly side to it all. If you don't know what I'm talking about, spend a few minutes on Twitter after an NFL game and just observe the way people talk about—or worse yet, talk TO—athletes. It's imperative that we remember that these guys are not JUST athletes. They're husbands. They're fathers. They're sons. They're friends. They're human beings. They just happen to be really good at football. Enjoy the NFL. Enjoy fantasy football. Enjoy competing in contests every Sunday. But don't forget that these are human beings putting their bodies (and their brains) on the line for your entertainment every single week. ___________________________ 📌 In 4 days on March 1st, Basement Brewed Fantasy Football is moving to 2024 pricing and, hint, it's not going down. So if you're planning to join 300 fantasy football players who are outsmarting their friends, dominating their leagues, and winning DFS contests and NFL bets this year, I recommend doing it BEFORE pricing looks different in 4 days! Go to BasementBrewedFF dot com to sign up! 📌 If you've been enjoying these short videos, then you're going to LOVE our podcast and YouTube shows!
