We've recently had some really heart-warming news! Little Bridge was chosen as runner-up in the Global Edtech Awards 2024. This competition, now in its second year, aims ‘to put the hard work of the very best educators and EdTech providers into the spotlight’. Fairness and equity (one of my obsessions!) are at the core of the awards, demonstrated by the policy of providing its judges (also global) with anonymised submissions to remove any bias during the judging process. What’s more, all entrants are provided with positive and constructive feedback from the category judges, regardless of whether they win or not. We were really happy to learn that the judges recognised that our ‘combination of technology and best practices in education has enabled the company to contribute a lot on the global stage in English language learning’. As Mark Anderson FCCT (@ICTEvangilist) , one of the founders of The Global EdTech Awards, commented: “I’m delighted for all of our winners and runners-up in the Global EdTech Awards 2024. Our policy of anonymising the entries for the judges meant that they had to assess them entirely on their merits, rather according to any expectations they may have had from seeing the entrants’ names or brand identities. We believe that this places all of our entrants on a level playing field, where their achievements do the talking.” The winner in our category (‘Best Edtech Company More than 3 years old’) was Stride, Inc. 🙌 New Beginnings in 2024 🙌 This quarter marks the start of an exciting learning journey - I'm diving into the "Data-Based Decision Making" microdegree at the Estonian Business School #ebs. It's a fantastic opportunity to deepen my understanding of data analytics, strategic planning, and organisational change management. I'm especially looking forward to learning from program lead Dmitrij Żatuchin, PhD CS, whose expertise in this field is truly inspiring. Why Data-Based Decision Making ⁉ Well, it's all about the impact! Having worked alongside incredible minds like Tyran Elgar and Serge Kruppa in the APMs team at Checkout.com, I've experienced firsthand the power of data in uncovering the real problems we faced. We learned how to analyse the data and start making data-based decisions. After this, I recently joined with #solita, a data company with a mission to create value from data in a connected world. It now feels like the perfect moment to further my career path in this exciting domain. As a continuous learner, I am eager to gain and share insights in a field that has become a true passion of mine.
