⚡ “Light strike” is a wine lover's nightmare, leading to sulfurous aromas and spoiled wine. Traditional flint glass bottles just don't cut it when it comes to UV protection. Packamama addresses the limitations of traditional flint glass by introducing a colourless bottle with a UV barrier, offering a valuable option for both winemakers and consumers. We have worked hard to ensure our UV barrier does not impact PET recycling streams. This, combined with our 100% recycled bottles, allows us to deliver a truly circular product. 🌍 Wine lovers can still admire the glorious hues and shades of white and rosé wines in Packamama bottles without fear of unpleasant, sulphurous aromas. Wine Packaging | Sustainability | Carbon Footprint - The desire for that satisfying thud of a heavy bottle on a table hasn’t disappeared. Overcoming this general prejudice is still a challenge for many, particularly those businesses which firmly believe that other stops on the sustainability bus route do not align with their long-term goals. There is also the perception that lighter wine bottles are potentially susceptible to light damage. Studies, however, have found that the relationship between glass thickness and light protection is not linear #wine #winebottles #lightbottles #packaging #sustainability #sustainabledevelopment #recycle #carbonfootprint

Why wine in a can? 🏕️ Portability: Los Cuernos cans are lightweight and easy to carry, perfect for outdoor activities and events where glass isn’t allowed. 🍷 Convenience: No corkscrew, no glass, no hassle. Enjoy a single serving of wine without opening a full bottle. 💡Lights Out: Light decreases the shelf life of wine. By keeping the light out, our cans preserve carbonation and flavor longer. ♻️ Sustainability: Cans are easily recyclable and require less energy to produce and transport than glass, minimizing the Los Cuernos carbon footprint. 🌬️ Freshness: Canned wine stays fresh longer than bottled wine. The airtight seal prevents oxygen from entering and spoiling the wine. #CannedWine #SanDiegoWine #SanDiegoStartup

A Flourishing 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬 : A Comprehensive Analysis of the Remarkable Industry Growth 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐲 𝐏𝐃𝐅-https://lnkd.in/dAq8d8PD (Use Corporate Mail Id for Quick Response ) The global wine glass bottles industry is expanding over the forecast period of 2021-2031 due to an increase in its application in various industrial verticals. In addition, the wine business prefers glass bottles over other types of containers due to their numerous advantages. The majority of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are packaged in glass bottles. This is due to its capacity to preserve non-permeability, sterility, and chemical inertness. Glass bottles are favored over wine bottles primarily because of these benefits. Additionally, the glass container is entirely recyclable, making it the best choice possible in terms of the environment. Recycled glass can conserve resources and cut down on CO2 emissions. In addition, the market for wine bottles and glasses is booming due to the rise in wine consumption throughout the world. #WineBottles #WineLovers #Viniculture #BottledElegance #WineCulture #WineCollectors #WineEnthusiast #WineAppreciation #WineArtistry #ViniculturalHeritage #LiquidPoetry #WineTasting #WineGems #VintageWines #WineAesthetics #TimelessElegance #WineCellar #FineWines #VinicultureJourney #WineBottleCollection

"Once a bottle is uncorked, the oxidation process commences, and you're in a race against time. In an ideal situation, you ... will be able to polish off a bottle within a few hours of opening it." Liquid wine is susceptible to oxygen, light and heat. Restaurants are pouring better quality glasses of wine from kegs. Wine inside a keg is kept cool, dark and safe from oxygen transfer. Restaurants and Wineries are improving the quality of wine pours, increasing margins on wine, reducing liquid waste, and reducing carbon emissions with wine-on-tap from stainless steel kegs - a package that is reusable for decades. Kegs provide better taste and less waste. Steel kegs are the only true re-usable package for the wine industry. Free Flow is happy to have helped supply premium wines in reusable stainless steel kegs for the past twelve years. " cork taint is one of several flaws that can crop up in wine .... it’s just unpleasant. The flavors and aromas of corked wine will be at best muted and at worst obscured by those wet newspaper, cardboard, or dirty sock notes ... Cork taint affects just 5 or 7% of wine globally". Better for a restaurant to pour wines-by-the glass from kegs. Wine inside a keg is kept cool, dark and safe from oxygen transfer and away from dirty corks. "Whatever you do, don't settle for an open bottle....... If you open a bottle of wine and don't seal it back up, the wine is going to mix with the open air in a process called oxidation. Oxidation will give your wine a stale taste, somewhat bitter and 100% unpleasant." Wine is susceptible to oxygen, light and heat. Wine inside a keg, on the other hand, is kept cool, dark and safe from oxygen transfer. Restaurants and Wineries are improving the quality of wine pours, increasing margins on wine, reducing liquid waste, and reducing carbon emissions with wine-on-tap from stainless steel kegs - a package that is reusable for decades. Boxed wine - good or not so good? This article is a great snapshot of the benefits of boxed wine and its advantages over other packaging options. In particular that boxed wine stays fresher for longer, keeping the wine drinkable for weeks after opening. In addition the lower carbon footprint and sustainable packaging that boxed wine provides outstrips traditional rigid wine packaging. While many remain skeptical of boxed wine, (another thing we can blame the 80’s for!) the movement behind putting better booze in a bag is gaining momentum and for good reason. It is worth noting that the article recommends steering clear of the freezing technique- as would I! #welovebaginboxwine #baginbox #lowercarbonfootprint #freshisbest #sustainablepackaging #forbetter # Lisa Antoney Ashley Ratcliff Leigh Morgan Shalina Matharu Lyndon Turner Erik Bosch Ryan Balock Jackie O'Dea Sue Cornwell Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gK4yJd9j
